Re: Sony pretends to bring back backward compatibility

Keep in mind though, entertainment drives technology, not the other way around.

Disney doesn't just make a bunch of kickass rides because they have all of these useless patents sitting around; they make the technology to make the rides possible. Game companies make new consoles to try to be the most detailed, the most capable; not because they might as well. Internet services improve when customers show there is a demand for it, not because ISPs feel generous.

Which is probably a big part of the problem in America-- people let companies get away with a lot of shit. Happens everywhere, but all the same, when nobody takes a stand against telecom companies, they'll never improve.

Cloud is kinda stupid, but on the other hand, the average computer user nowadays probably spends %90 of their time in their browser-- and if you're not in your browser, you're doing something which can probably be done in a modern browser anyway; documents (see google), messaging (too many examples to count), music and video (again, too many), pretty much anything not reliant on your system. Even hard drives are becoming more and more irrelevant, as more and more sites allow you to freely upload your content to their servers, albeit with size restrictions. It wouldn't be at all difficult to live very comfortably without owning a personal computer; only logging in to your accounts (plural for now, singular before long) at whatever internet terminal you happen across.

I still have my HDD in my PS2, I use it to backup my save files.

I agree though Sony is still being stubborn, right now I have my PS1/2/3 all hooked up, because I kind of have to ;p

            That's not a nerd contract.

            It's a fire hazard.

So lack of backward compatibility is putting Kailea's safety at risk.

oh dont worry, I have double checke everything, one system on at a time, with the others in standby, and the few power bricks that pull just a little power, I am not going over what is safe.
