Zone of the Enders sequel 'project' revealed; ZOE HD out in Japan Oct. 25 | Joystiq

During a Zone of the Enders event today in Tokyo, Kojima Productions announced an October 25 release date for Zone of the Enders HD Collection – for Japan. International release dates for the PS3/Xbox 360 mech game compilation have yet to be announced beyond "fall".

During the event, Hideo Kojima also announced that work has begun on a sequel currently codenamed "Enders Project." Kojipro is prototyping the game in its own Fox Engine, converting physical models into Fox Engine 3D models. The character model shown is more organic than robotic – it's the winsome fellow above, snapped by Famitsu.

Eh, not sure if want.

I love Orbital Frames with a passion (just like Macross Valkyries, and Metal Gear Rex) but I can barely stand Eurekavangelion-ish mechas like Metal Gear Ray and the more recent designs. But I need way more info about it before I can form an opinion.



Either way I've already pre-ordered the HD collection for Oct.

Completely Unrelated: Whatever happen to that Shenmue Collection?

Sega never announced a collection. Yu Suzuki talked about a rerelease when he was still with Sega, but Sega hasn't said anything.

There was a rumor that Shenmue and Shenmue II had HD versions done alongside Jet Set Radio, but that was never confirmed.

If anyone wanted this but not pay exorbitant costs for importing (The Yen is still really strong against the Dollar and a lot of importers - and Japanese exporters - now add in a "tax" to compensate for currency fluctuations from Japan's Central Bank trying to weaken the Yen)
