MEW!!! mew mew mew mew MEEEW!!! What I mean is that you know FFXIV 2.0 is going to be a huge deal for FF mmorpg fans that no other thing on PC/PS3 would get attention! So if anything gets attention between FFXIV 2.0 play sessions, I think it would be Guardian Heroes. And people that don't play mmorpgs would be Guardian Heroes anyway if they could play it on PS3.

While some mentally challenge child is getting verbally and emotionally abused and bullied by faculty and students at school YOUR pressing concern is getting Guardian Heroes on PSN? The hell?

eh I have played the orignal on Saturn, borrowed it from a friend, and then played this new HD one on Xbox........ I honestly see no reason for it to be on PS3... they are missing nothing.


It is a great game, dont get me wrong, but even with the HD reskin, it did not age well.

oh mew that is very selfish opinion, mew! You can't speak on behalf of all PS3 owners that would enjoy Guardian Heroes if given the chance!


It's like saying "oh, Streets of Rage did not age well, they are missing nothing." when that is not true! It still has immense value and more people deserve to play it, mew!

Especially something legendary like Guardian Heroes, where back then, Saturn was not mainstream like PS1 and N64 and many valuable things (like Dragon Force) were left behind.

I mean really, mew. There are people still playing Streets of Rage 2 and Golden Axe, and those don't have graphics, action, replay value and gameplay as great as Guardian Heroes.

Change.org is for bringing attention to pressing social issues.

If you want to call attention to the need for Guardian Heroes on PSN, I would go to Treasure or Sega with the fans to show the demands directly. Chances are those that really wanted it already got their fix on the 360 version, though. Operation Rainfall worked, pestering Atlus and Xseed to take the risk sometimes works. There are plenty of ways to bring attention to these games.

And as Kailea said, this version isn't really that much to write home about. In fact, the HD reskinning of the game is actually worse than playing the game in its original mode. Lots of the animations from the original version are lost in the HD reskin and it loses part of its charm in that way. This would be a case of researching what you want before saying you want it.

Which is what I was addressing, though it was my bad for not quoting that specific part. I don't disagree that using change.org for this is inappropriate but it really says nothing about their stance on child abuse. Odds are most of the signers have never heard of change.org before (I sure hadn't) and simply signed the thing without checking if the site is for general purpose petitions or just social change petitions.

I tried playing Guardian Heroes but didn't really enjoy it. I appreciate the humor but I found the lane-changing mechanics tedious and there was just too much going on the screen at any given moment. Granted I only played like 15 minutes.

its a good game given the chance, but it is a chance you need to take with a real Saturn and copy of the game on a SD TV...... not what is on XBLIVE, I bought it, and I honestly would rather go pick me up a real copy of it for my Saturn ;p

I find it absolutely fascinating that you say this on one hand, but actually do not play those aforementioned games on the other. Especially since you mentioned PSN, I'm not sure what to make of it.

I mean, people have games they could play to fill a void in downtime ... or they could simply, you know, go out to the beach or hiking or ... something.

Do we need another sidescrolling brawler on PSN (or XBLA, or Steam)? I've had a reasonable fill of such games in the past several years as it is (Shank 1 & 2, Trine 1 & 2, Castle Crashers, etc.). Guardian Heroes is a good game, but it doesn't exactly fill a gaping hole in the gaming eco-system that isn't already well-represented.
