Normally I don't bother with these unless they are really good, especially at $100+ but jesus, this thing is absolutely worth every penny for the DLC alone. Halo's map packs usually retail for 800 MSP, so you make up for the extra $40 with just those alone nevermind all the other cool extras. Gonna have to mention this if/when we do the next podcast.

They lost the magic when they decided the Covenant had feelings. That's my only real gripe. Other than that, it's your standard CoD fare and I'm not a fan of that "genre".

Halo CE had Battlefield-esque multiplayer. Up to 32 players, vehicles included, and maps more massive than what were included on the Xbox. Additionally, the player could use the fuel rod cannon and flamethrower in multiplayer.

So for a game to be good the antagonists need to be mindless brutes with no personality or purpose other than to be shot at and die while you hold down forwards and shoot, while the stages are just constantly copy and pasted. And it needs a flamethrower.

Halo CE was great, but the MP basically devolved into who could 3-shot better with the pistol. Halo 2 is what set the standard for MP mode and pretty much began the whole craze over XBL. Without Halo 2, there'd be no XBL simple as that (glitchy as it was witht he BXR and other shenangians bungie eventually fixed in 3)

Anyhoo, main point was just to highlight that this is a limited edition that's actually worth getting instead of being loaded with the usual frilly crap that only collector nuts give a shit about (unlike H3 and Reach).
