The Next Nintendo Direct Presentation Is This Weekend | Siliconera

Another ND presentation this Saturday. Iwata just tweeted about it just an hour or two back. No word on an a EU or US presentation at this time. Since Pikmin And Mario are knowns for E3 I don't expect much here about that, I expect this is more about 3DS and recent announcements like Project X-Zone.

Nintendo Direct time travels with news tonight, tomorrow, yesterday | Joystiq

Japan starts midnight EST and NOA's presentation is 12pm EST tomorrow.

Sakurai tweeted there would be news for Kid Icarus Uprising... interesting (hope its card-related). The producer of Theatrhythm also will have news.

Seems there's also something Kirby-related afoot. From Iwata's Swapnote:

Re: Next Nintendo Direct April 21st

Well crap I napped through it, it seems.

        Announcements:

        - New Super Mario Bros. 2 for 3DS in August. - The Raccoon tail is back!
        - Kirby get his year, 20th Anniversary collection coming to Wii
        - Also a 3D Classics update to Kirby's Dream Land (could be mistranslated, there's a 3D classic of Kirby's Adventure and the GB original is already on eShop).
        - Animal Crossing 3DS this fall
        - A premium version of last year's free Pokedex 3D app is coming with new pokemon and a new AR App, Pokemon Searcher is also coming soon.
        - Club Nintendo (of Japan) seems to be getting a Kid Icarus Uprising soundtrack for 250 coins (off to do some fucking surveys now, I guess).
        - Patches for 3DS titles where necessary. First stop: Wuhu Island on Mario Kart 7.
        - FOLDERS! Finally, you can file away all your 3DS downloads in custom folders for the home screen in the next firmware update.

Yeah, I'm a little happy about that last one, my 3DS home screen is a cluttered mess with its 40+ games on it.

Will update this particular post as I dig up more.

        New footage for:

        Etrian Odyssey IV
Guild 01 - four game on one cart - 3D Shmup, a blacksmith shop game, airport passenger puzzle game (no TSA patdown) and simulated tabletop RPG Crimson Shroud)
Project X-Zone First Project X Zone trailer confirms Capcom, Namco and Sega collaboration | Joystiq

        Other things:

Something was said of an announcement by SE for Theatrhythm and KH3D.
DLC characters for Fire Emblem: Awakening will be done by artists from other game such as Drakengard
Dragon Quest Monsters 3D was shown.
        Some soccer management sim
Culdecept was shown off, it has AR cards of some kind and local multiplayer
Rune Factor 4 doing Rune Factory/Harvest Moon type stuff
Monster Hunter Tri 3G has some free downloadable quests incoming
Iwata spoke on Pokemon BW2 for a bit.

So nothing I even remotely care about

Still, that sounds like a lot of cool stuff for Nintendo junkies so yay for them.

Nope, no military shooters. Plus its not like they were going to drop Wii U announcements on this one.

There's still the EU and NA showings, so the news isn't over.

Patches will be enabled for 3DS games in the next firmware update, MK7 update comes in May.

Some stuff about Louvre Museum tour with 3DS

Nothing on Fire Emblem - which is coming to Europe first. Odd.

              ---------------------

Turns out NOA isn't doing a streaming conference thing, but they are said to be announcing some stuff in about an hour and a half and will also be putting up translations of the Japanese conference on Youtube, Nintendo channel and all that.

New Pokemon "apps" coming to the 3DS -Destructoid

Pokemon AR Searcher will allow you to catch Pokemon via AR, then transfer them to B/W2. Interesting.

One more bump and I'm done >.>

This is a teaser for Matsuno's new game, Crimson Shroud, one of the four games in the 3DS collaboration between Grasshopper and Level 5 known as Guild 01

Matsuno writing and directing, Basiscape on the music so it gives off that Vagrant Story/Tactics Ogre/FFT vibe and its actually conceptualized as a tabletop RPG for the 3DS. Which makes it the most interesting portable throwback since Etrian Odyssey to me.
