Ok. let me start by saying I had already discarded this game from my wish list.

But then I watched this a few minutes ago:

Guess I'll be playing the 3rd one too after all. <_<;

Well, it seems this game has an awesome PC optimization which makes it look and feel like a PC game on a PC. AND... well that's about it.

People was right to fear what would happen after Remedy left, as it turned out to be just a generic cutscene filled interactive movie for what some call "the new generation". Whatever that means. It may have worked pretty well for Drake, but it definitely did not for Payne. Such a missed opportunity, the freaking areas are tiny (I'm telling you, tiny) and all the awesome control from the video I posted is completely wasted because of that and the over-scripted fights.

So I'll just save my money for Sleeping and get this game in a year or two when it goes for 3-5 bucks on Steam, maybe. q(-_- )

Er, Max Payne has always been an overscripted, graphics-heavy piece of wank. That didn't change with Remedy's departure.

When Remedy was still there the levels were just longer, more boring and had more cut and paste than Halo did back then.

Not like this, not to mention this game is being released almost 10 years after Fall.

And the first game was developed by an indie Remedy with limited resources. It may not be your cup of tea, but it was a great game and still is all things considered. The 2nd was kinda meh because they replaced Sam Lake, which completely killed the spirit the first game created with it's over the top noir-ish gun fu. XD


But 3 is just "Ghetto Drake visits south America" or something.
