I have to imagine this would be the most confusing MMO community to join. How do you even keep everyone straight if everyone names themselves Goku or Trunks and happens to also have a guild called the "Super Sayins." And just based on those names, all terrible players who either waste a groups time or consistently bring death to them all through their stupidity.

You just count the Xs.

Say you have a player calling himself XxYggytrunksfromthefuturexX, the rest would be XxxYggytrunksfromthefuturexxX, XxxxYggytrunksfromthefuturexxxX, etc.

Or Yggy1, Yggy2 and Yggy3 for short.

mew! I heard it has very warm community! =^^= (well there is the language and culture barrier, but in general there are english speakers that play together and stuff.)

and Super Sayian is very epic to earn (it's kind of like getting your first lv. 60 AF gear in FFXI or lv. 30 Advanced Job, although SS isn't a class, it's a skill.)

also Dragon Ball Online is one of rare experiences where you start training as a child, and can eventually earn and unlock adult master class! (so it kind of reflects the growth in power and age like Goku and Gohan went through, except players don't need to wait that long, lol!)

So just being adult visually separates the veterans from the newcomers than just levels, mew!


Also Akira Toriyama supervised and worked on the story and helped with designs for at least 5 years! Many agree DBO is at least the spiritual sequel to DBZ in the timeline! (and some accept it as official sequel to the DB universe's history.)

I've been reading about it for some time, but I hate not knowing what npcs are saying so I probably wont even try to play it until it's released in Japan.

You need to make a Wasabii account, use Google Translator. Saves you a lot of grief as well as frustration trying to browse the menu's. :D I made my account last night. Just need to reinstall and get this english patch to work. >_>

It translates the game menu's since the game is in Taiwanese or Korean, pick your poison. So you have to get the patch. It doesn't patch the skills, which is quite bothersome since the symbols they use are very annoying. Hey J9, if you get any information on a US release, let us know. I enjoy playing the TW version but it does kinda get annoying. v.v

mew! I think the TW version updates are slower than Korean updates (well naturally the Flight update will appear on Korean servers much sooner than TW, but I heard TW servers are much easier to get into even though they have yet to catch up to Korea's content and updates. But I think TW has more content now, last update increase level cap to 60, new zones, new skills, and a new Timemachine quest.) I think they plan to do Japan servers/beta testing before they think of US. I think there are Hong Kong servers too.
