Silent Hill 2 WILL keep its original voice acting. That much as been confirmed repeatedly on several sites.

Silent Hill 3 will have new voice acting and no option for the original at all. Konami has yet to issue a reason for that, probably because it would require its PR and marketing departments to get off their asses and do something, which Konami is never too keen on.

Wake me up when its talk about the ZOE HD collection and MGS Snake Eater 3D. Or Revengence.

PlayStation horror classic Silent Hill became quickly renowned for its relentlessly terrifying atmosphere, and became an important milestone for the survival horror genre. But the creator of another critically acclaimed horror game thinks Silent Hill was important for one key reason.

“It totally blew me away in regards of the emotions that can be created in a videogame,” Grip recalled.

“It was a the first time a videogame managed to do a certain genre better than any other media,” he said. “Horror has been perfected in novels and film for a long time, and yet here comes a videogame that does it better than anything previously has. This is quite extraordinary, and I do not think it has been discussed enough.” (Read more in link)
