I hope it is ok that I am posting this here. I don't want the same thing to happen to anyone else who games.


Check your game list right NOW. If you have FIFA 12 on your played list and you do not own it, congratulations, you've been hacked. We got a 75.00 charge and lost about 2000 xbox points. I hope the same does not happen to you. Merry Christmas? =/

I didn't even know about these hackers until today, when (thankfully) a friend said it showed I was online yesterday playing FIFA 12.

I didn't even know all our XBOX points were gone until I was messing around with the various saved payment options and quickly went into where points can be added and saw that I only had 110 points, when I know I used to have over 2000.

And then when talking to Microsoft about getting the last credit card attached to the account removed, the guy said that 14 "gold packs" or something had been downloaded yesterday, and that $75 had been charged to one of our cards.


After Googling it, I found out that this has been going on since at least the middle of October, and this is happening to people like the community manager of Activision, and tons of people who practice safe online habits.

It is beyond ridiculous that this hasn't been straightened out by now, and articles like this don't make me hopeful that it will get any better anytime soon.

That is what happened to me but back in the middle of SEP, woke up one morning to find 10k points charged to my card and my account info changed. MS dicked around for 3 months, and I still don't have my account back yet.

Odd thing is there is NO way that anyone col have obtained my user name and pass...... and literally the last interaction I had with my account was on the phone canceling my PSU account. I made mention to this when I talked to MS, but they shrugged it off. -.-

Actually it has been months that this has been happening (the earliest reports of it I saw were in late August or so), and Microsoft continues to deny that it is a hack.
