Reading the comment section on the Blizzard site was depressing. I mean, yeah, I don't think Blizzard was quite the company they were, either. Still, is it really such blasphemy that Diablo III is coming to a console? I mean, we've had our Diablo clones and variations on the genre for well over a decade now. It actually amazes me it took Blizzard this long to figure out home to make such a game for a console.

Well, PS3/4 gamers are getting the better version of the game - offline play, local pay, no RMAH bullshit - but still, its not like the console version was a knife in the back.

but ya, as for the comments, that's PC fanatisicm for you. The PC zealots always like to play the victim when a console version turns out to be better.
The "PC version was a beta test" rants are so delusional and fabricating silly conspiracy theories.

Blizzard forums are always full of mad ravings, but I picked up a few interesting tidbits from the patch notes.

• The cooldown incurred by changing skills outside of town on Inferno difficulty has been reduced to 30 seconds (down from 60 seconds)

Further disincentivises commitment to a build and homogenizes all characters of a class.

• The stack size for gold sales on the auction house has been increased from 1 million to 10 million

More than the "trillions of gold" thread, proof that the D3 economy is experiencing hyperinflation, if any proof was even needed. Recall that at launch the minimum stack size for gold was 10,000. Now the minimum standard of value has increased 1,000x. Way to fail at having a currency, Blizzard. Hire a damn economist, ffs.

Actually tin foil hat guy may have been onto something. With the value of gold plummeting, Haedrig's services have been getting cheaper and cheaper, allowing people to craft far more and increasing the number of well-rolled crafted items on the AH.

• Tooltips in the Auction House will now show an item comparison for a player's currently selected character

This should have been a launch feature. People have been asking for it since launch. Since launch they've been saying "That's a good idea. We should do that." A year later they finally implement it. /slowclap

Even SE has done a better job of combating inflation and limiting the impact of bots in FFXI than Blizzard has in D3. The failure to implement a basic, obvious feature for so long is some derp bought off the same rack as where SE shops for screwups.

It's pretty telling when you consider that they're only just now with the next coming patch going to start dealing with itemization.

Also, RMAH was the worst idea ever. Class balance is still garbage as well, despite some nice buffs to a few skills in the update.

Right now until may 21st they're adding bonus XP and GF/MF for all characters (above the 300% cap too).


Still refuse to touch the game until 1.09 when they are supposedly addressing itemization though.
