Won't work. Hardcore is totally separate from Normal. You have to rebuild your crafting levels, stash, etc.

Because accessing a Battle.net account immediately gets you access to ALL GAMES (and ALL ACCOUNTS) tied to that one Bnet account. For example, if I got access into a player through his WoW log-in, I can see that he has an annual pass and access to D3. I then just wait a couple of days and then screw him over and then book it. If I have a list of 1,000 accounts to work with, I'm not wasting my time. The day the server goes live, I'm going to monitor those with large activities while those that don't even know they have a D3 account will be the ones I use to consolidate and manage the gold and rares.

That explains what? Why a hacker would log into a stolen account one day after launch to sell essence for 35g? No. How to test your theory? No.

Again, if RMTs were doing this to gather gold, they'd just sell the items to a vendor for 75-200g, not go to the extra work to salvage the items and then AH them for less. Your theory makes no sense.

Plans for nightmare herding staff are sold by the act 4 quartermaster for 1g. The materials required are just the normal herding staff.

And the same should be true in WoW ... except it isn't. No, these guys might be in a rush, but because they know it would take Blizzard roughly 72 hours at MINIMUM before they actually respond, they have enough time to get the goods at below market value but still a lot higher than the vendor prices. Now, whether or not this applies to the gems, that's another story, but the gear I've noticed are going for ridiculous cheap. I linked Malacite an Axe I got for under 3,000G and he was floored by the fact that it had GOOD STATS (Okay ... AWESOME STATS) and it went for that price. Anyone worth their salt who've played D2 know that suffixes and stats are what drives the market for the equipment, not whether or not it's blue or yellow.

It's the normal herding staff plus 200,000g. Each subsequent upgrade is the previous staff along with a gold fee when you hit the craft button. The inferno staff requires the hellish staff and 1,000,000g.

There was a mass hacking on D3 accounts in the last few days, if anyone cares. Aeni's theory has merit. Just because it's easier to sell the blue items to merchants, doesn't mean people don't have stockpiles of the dust/claws/eyes/whatever in their stash for easy AH'ing.

How about because people have had their accounts hacked even with those things? It's annoying enough using it for my SE account, I don't need/want a second one for battle.net.

The real pro-tip: Run some proper god damned antispyware and lay off the 3rd party tools. Should probably be wary of most pr0n sites too. tl;dr stop being dumbasses about the internet.

Now, getting back to the BS staff (seriously I'm about ready to stab a bitch over some of these ingredients) once you have the damned thing, is it permanent? Like, if I make the normal one and then use it to go in, can I keep using it in each new game until I upgrade the damned thing? And if I upgrade it, is it still viable for the previous difficulty or do I effectively need to farm the materials 4 fucking times over to allow myself to play the level at any difficulty?

Not my problem they download straight S&M fisting porn. Accounts are more secure with the authenticators; there's no doubt about that. But, yes, viruses and keyloggers are something people need to not be touched in the head about.

Actually it's pretty easy to hack an account that has an authenticator because of Blizzard's competence. Most hackers now will be packet sniffing and since Session IDs take a LONG time to expire in Blizzard games, it's not actually flagged as someone who went offline suddenly popping online from another IP even though it should be a different session with a different IP. Instead on Blizz's side it's counted as the same session and the packet sniffing tools can easily trick the server into saying "Hey I'm still that guy! Lemme in!"

Basically people have every right to complain. It's completely Blizzard's fault for not having session IDs immediately time out. Good hackers don't even need your username or password to compromise your account and they can do it without Blizzard even knowing it has happened.

I knew none of this, which is good to know.

Either way, I still lol at the people who won't use an authenticator, then complain they were hacked. At least it's some level of protection, even if it's not full proof.

Problem with the authenticator is that while it does offer some protection from keyloggers, it doesn't protect your from unexpired session IDs. The reason WHY you're told to log out of everything that uses a login system properly is to ensure that your session ID is properly closed or expires soon after you log out. Blizzard don't do this which makes packet sniffing an easy and hard to detect way of hijacking a session even after the account holder has logged off.

Is this the same thing as package sniffing? Careful, Yyg does alot of package sniffing in his spare time. Consider yourself warned.
