Nah, I think this will be the only other iteration as its still got its DLC modes on the way.

Yeah, I've been kinda hooked on the game, i wasn't really big into MVC3 when it first came out, but when I sat down with Ultimate, I got more into it this time.

The new DLC does look very interesting and fun.

Yeah, what the content is going to bring to UMVC3 is really the only thing keeping me from hating Capcom for not delaying the game for its inclusion. It sounds like its going to make for some interesting match-ups and even let players skew/balance match-ups to their liking. It will in interesting to see if other fighters assimilate the idea down the road.

Right now my teams are

X-23, Wolvie, Ammy

or

Phoenix Wright, Chun Li, Ammy.

Ammy is just great for filling the gaps on particular group roles. Phoenix Wright is just high risk and high reward and I just have a tendency to go for characters like that.

Wait, BBQ, where is your rage about 12 entire characters being left off the original roster? How is this any better than the nickel-and-dime DLC that you love to hate so much? Just because it's shipped on a disc?

Because I accept that iterations are part of fighting games and have been for two decades.
Because I didn't buy MVC3 at launch and waited for a better deal since I could get my fill by playing a friends copy.
And, most importantly, because it doesn't have an online pass and developers bullshitting cowardly sob stories about why its there.

I won't deny Capcom has been pretty questionable this year, but they're not quite at the level of EA and Sony yet. They haven't exactly made strides to strip away consumer rights at every corner like those two have.

Well let me tell you as someone who DID buy MvC3, to me your viewpoint about how this is less obnoxious than optional DLC that doesn't impact the main game experience reeks of hypocrisy.
