Could have stood to be this specific before

Anyway. Problem is this doesn't get them the web hits, this sort of campaigning - which is akin to what Fox did for Call of Duty MW2 - just gives the game more press. Maybe Nintendo is giving them the attention PETA wanted, but otherwise they're just giving the game more free press for the most absurd reason possible.

This is the same PETA that got bothered about the stabbing of a rat in either BF3 or MW3. Meanwhile rats in Dark Souls and Skyrim and countless other RPGs are not having their virtual animal rights defended.

To be fair, Skyrims rank and file mob is the frostbite spider and otherwise, the mudcrab is the rat of Elder Scrolls.

I just shot and elk and two foxes and skinned them, BTW.

PETA attacks everyone equally so I don't see this as an issue. If everyone just ignores PETA then they got nothing.

        Eh, the thing is....

Peta will keep doing this, as it is getting them attention. Attacking a video game, will give them attention. Hell, we are giving them atention by just talking about it.

Btw.... over 10billion animal where killed in WoW, yet they aren't attacking that, same for any MMO, or game.

They just went after mario because they knew it would give them attention. Just surprised they haven't done th same to WoW, probably because Blizzard would tear them a new one, and they know it.

No joke. They're putting up a hardcore porn site next month to promote vegetarianism. Whoever it is that decided treating women like meat was the best way to get across the idea that it's wrong to treat meat like meat decided to go whole hog and throw in some porking for good measure.

That doesn't even make sense. How will they do the pizza delivery scene if it's not a sausage pizza?

Hmm, whatever source gave me the idea that it would be a hardcore subscription-type site may have been fabricating details. The actual plan is less tasteful:
The idea is to lure people in with salacious images, then confront them with graphic footage of animal cruelty.
This is the most SFW article I found in my cursory search: PETA.xxx To Feature Nude Activists. Worst way to spread a message you want to be taken seriously or worst way to spread a message you want to be taken seriously?

I had to check. bigcarrotpizza.com and bigcucumberpizza.com were both unregistered. Ball's in your court, PETA. To raise yourselves to the next level of ridicule and further marginalize the views of people who oppose factory farming and animal cruelty everywhere, you know what you have to do.

So, basically, they'll show a couple doing it and then the scene cuts to a hog vagina being ripped out with meat hooks? You know, I hope PETA realizes that there are people on this planet that would get off to that sort of thing. Just saying.

Sounds to me like a sure fire plan to backfire. Associating sex with animal cruelty. Or associating animal cruelty with sex. Sounds like nobody stands to win from a site like that.
