Well, SE did register a finalfantasyxiii-3.com recently. They must be fairly confident in xiii-2 if they're doing that. Maybe that has something to do with it.

or FFVII remake
or Kingdom Hearts III
or a PS2 HD collection of FFX, FFX-2 and FFXII

These would all be critical gestures for SE to be making right now, even though DX:HR proved to be a needed homerun for SE, they need to be ponying up something sure-fire and not oft-delayed.

I don't know if they have a booth for Deus Ex: Human Revolution, but I know SE was going to try for a big release on that in Japan, too.

Well, they have to get out some Final Fantasy while FFvsXIII takes forever to get done and FFXIV is recovering. At any rate, just because FFXIII was ho-hum doesn't mean FFXIII-2 will be the same. It seems a lot of the issues with FFXIII are being addressed.

Though, really, It think its time to either put Final Fantasy on hiatus or get to remaking FFV through IX on whatever platforms they're wanting to do that with. I say go the remake route so they can allocate more resources to revitalizing some of their other IPs and make a couple new ones. They did say they had some new IPs in the works s while back.

well the thing I hated most about XIII was the battle system, and it seems they are using the same one in XIII-2

But you are right, XIII-2 might not be bad, just loosing faith in newer games in general as of late.

The battle system wasn't the problem so much as it didn't really shine that well when you were using only two characters with it. The Paradigm system was great for three-member parties and a real drag for two members and FFXIII liked to drag on and on with two characters, occasionally teasing you with three before finally giving it too you too late into the game.

If they fix that or just make two characters more bearable, I'd be very interested in playing FFXIII-2.

mmmm that might have been my problem then, I honestly only played it for 8 hours, and it did not catch my interest, and by then if it does not, I drop it. I will give it another shot later though, looking forward to playing Dungeon Magic on NES more at the moment (still looking for a working NES ;p)

The secret booth is obviously so they can sneak in playable kiosks for the Best Game in History, Theatrhythm!

people giving that game some much hate already.... I can not wait for it, the music is one of the main things I loved about Final Fantasy, and this game would be great for that love.

I hate to be a spoilsport, but I wouldn't put the possibility of them just having a VIP area for employees/event staff/gaming journalists to hang out and get out of the (FUCKING INSANE) crowd as being completely out there.

While I wouldn't expect anything earth shattering out of SE, it would be doubtful that they would label such a mundane area like a media gathering spot as ???.

It probably is for something they think is super awesome, I just don't see them having anything like that.
