it would not be as bad if the PShome game mechanics where not clunky as hell, I wanted to get the 10 achievements to get my flesh bomb in Dead Island, but playing it is painful....the combat and walking is so terrible -.-

That really isn't PS Home's fault. Given the few weeks/months they must have spent developing that minigame, it's actually pretty good for something interactive in PSHome that isn't just a video on the wall or a trivia thing, mew.

It actually is much easier to control than melee combat in Resident Evil 1-3.

Seriously though it would be nice. I loved Home ever since I saw the concepts, but it just hasn't had the lasting appeal it should.

Even with a 320GB drive replacement I still think Home is a tremendous waste of space and time. If I want to play Second Life, I'd just play Second Life.

I just wish there was some real benefit in investing in a SSD for my PS3. But I'm considering buying a bigger HDD sometime this year anyway.


Just... not for playing home, even if I will install/use it to check out some game areas from time to time.

Lulz I'd so do it if the improvement in performance wasn't of only 3-15% in very situational stuff due to all the bottlenecks. XD

So 320GB+ 7200rpm HDD for my PS3 (later this year, maybe) it is.

Home is something that you occasionally accidentally click on and immediately regret the few moments of your life it takes to back out of it to the part of the XMB you really meant to access.

PS Home is valuable place for many people in world and fwends that like those enviornments and stuff! It really is the best community space on consoles in history, mew!

Also even after PSN hack, it still breaks traffic records far more than lots of multiplayer games online, mew!!!!!

This is actually what I'm seriously hoping for with PS4, but I just don't see it happening unless there's a massive price drop on them before 2013.


Also, why all the hate for Home? When I first saw it I thought to myself "this is going to own the shit out of XBL"

What killed it for me was mainly regional restrictions really.

And then the lack of SSD support to improve performance when dealing with 256+256MB ram. On Blu-ray games it's obvious an SSD wont do much since they insist in using the blu ray for a lot of bottlenecking stuff.

But home is running 100% from the disk.

I don't know if they've fixed it already, but loading/using Home was too painful for someone used to playing PC MMOGs.

no they are good! Siren Ward of Despair in particular is quite addicting, mew! Tons of people are always there, and they don't mind the wait!

There is even some nice places, like UFC has some fun exercising minigames! and the arcade has Pool and Bowling and other stuff. There's really good minigames there!
