I just got that weird dragon animation glitch. It was freaking weird and annoying.

And they didn't fix the problem with dragons not giving souls properly anyway. <_<;

I asked a stable owner if he was worried about the dragons.

He said that dragons were not going to change the way he lived, If a dragon were to kill him, so be it.

In the weeks since the PlayStation 3 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released, it has become clear that something is badly wrong. Now the game's publisher Bethesda faces some tough questions, which it must face without delay, and with absolute clarity and frankness. Serious accusations from frustrated fans are growing in volume; that the company knew there was a problem before it released the game.

Trust in the Bethesda brand, one of the most beloved in the business, has been damaged by the company's release of a sub-par product. Doubts must now be raised as to Skyrim's status as the game most likely to scoop all those lucrative 'Game of the Year' awards. This erosion in trust can only be rectified by a full disclosure on what has happened, how it happened, and what plans the company has in place to correct the situation.

Yeah, yeah, it's IGN, and you can't spell "ignorant" without them, but in this particular case, they've got a point. The PS3 version of Skyrim really IS broken for a sizable number of people, and the patches have done little to nothing to fix it. Not only that, as people spend more time in the game, even the Xbox 360 and PC versions are starting to exhibit similar symptoms - it just takes longer because of the memory architectures.

PS > Todd did mention they were originally going to wait for the next console generation to release Skyrim, but obviously money talked there. In my case I would've loved seeing the PC release first (without the low res graphics modders are gradually fixing), and then the console version with DLCs and all that stuff once the next gen consoles hit the market. Heck it could've been a freaking awesome launch title.

That probably might've worked better for them. /shrug

Seems the issues of the PS3 version are still mitigated the same way they were before - fewer save files. Stuttering framerate goes away after that. I can run through a blizzard with Bound Bow in hand and the only framedrop is when the spell wears off for the bow.

Aside from moonwalking dragons, the only other odd glitch I get is a courier that runs up to me and then vanishes before delivering whatever it is he intended to bring me. That's happened twice so far

Really what Bethesda needed to do (but for some absurd reason chose not to) is dump the core of the Gamebryo engine. They rewrote the entire graphics rendering engine because it was fugly, but by some stroke of insanity thought that this would cause their games to be less of a glitch-fest instead of building the engine properly from the ground up.

I'm not sure what the deal is with Gamebryo though. I'm wondering if there really was a good reason to keep using it compared to making their own or using another engine.
