    Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM

Yeah I climb steep 85 degree mountain sides with my horse, and the horse is so badass that it runs towards Ice wraiths and starts fighting them.

Its more reliable than the followers I've been getting lately.

So this game sounds and looks bad ass. Everyone enjoying it? Anyone not? I'm thinking of picking it up today. It could be a good break from FFXIV.

It's has it's quirks, but far fewer bugs than past games from the Bethesda Soft team. There are still bugs, but nothing game breaking like there was back in Morrowind and fewer quirks than Oblivion.

If you're on the fence you could get Oblivion 5th Anniversary. While not as refined as Skyrim and lacking in terms of graphics as well, it's every bit as engrossing and half the price new. NPCs are damn ugly in that one though.

THe only thing I couldn't stand about Oblivion was that on the PS3 version, I became a Vampire for the lulz.... played through the game... and decided at one pointthat I no longer wanted the burdon.

5th Anniversary fixed that one on PS3, but the Mannimarco glitch could still happen.

Annnnnnnnnd, I'm not buying another copy of the game to make myself NOT a vampire. I borrowed and installed the PC version thanks to a buddy of mine and hacked myself to the same stats as I had on the PS3 version. It took time... buit it didn't cost me a penny.

                Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM

I recommend playing both Oblivion and Skyrim on a PC to everyone I know who happens to be a gamer. Most of the faults in Oblivion can be easily fixed through Mods. Just need to check TESnexus out.

                ------

                And story time:

So today someone asked me if I was sick.

My response: And acute case of chronic skyrimitis.

They didn't know what that was, so I explained to them the main symptoms were muscle atrophy and insomnia. And that I should be fine a 3 months or so.

They praised me for going to work despite my condition and wished me well. They are nice people.

So needless to say, I will go to sleep soon. I just... need to finish this little quest I got earlier today.

                  ^ LOL. That's cruel.

                  ---

Today, I was ambushed by a Blood Dragon right in the courtyard of the College of Magic. I stepped out of the Hall of Attainment after completing a task for one of the students there, and walked out into a face full of icy dragon breath.

To say I was surprised does not even begin to describe it, though I guess more dragon souls is always OK.

In the mean time, I've earned myself a Black Star, which means now I can go on an enchanting spree by ruthlessly Soul Trapping every two bit bandit in Skyrim.

                    Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM

Someone just sent a Dark Brotherhood assassin after me. Not sure why.

I killed the head of the Battle-born clan, but that was during my first day as a werewolf and no one knew it was me. I did off a farmer five minutes ago to test out my x15 Sneak Attack Dagger Damage perk, but that seems a bit too fast for the Dark Brotherhood and there were no witnesses to that, either.

Guess I'll have to watch my back now that I've killed someone from the Dark Brotherhood.

Well, actually, I went werewolf on him and ate him. Same thing.

                    Also:

                    Face me, coward!

I kinda liked the perks of a vampire when I was one in Oblivion. I just didn't let it get to be too strong where you took a shit ton of damage in the sun light. Most of the time, I was in dark tunnels, or out in the night time anyways. -Shrugs.-

Yyg, let me get this right. You got turned into a vampire and there was no way to turn back? So you had to go and redo everything you had already done all over again on a PC? I'm playing on PS3. Am i going to have the same problem? What do I need to do to avoid that?

He's talking about Oblivion, not Skyrim. Skyrim for PS3 has been fantastically stable for me. I'm now ~30 hours in, no crashes or gamebreaking bugs.

Only one mildly odd quest, which was for Azura's Star, where I talked to an NPC out of sequence and was unable to "clear" his entry in the quest log. It caused a little oddity when I went to actually find Azura's Star because I had to exit the dungeon and come back in for a boulder to disappear, but I was able to finish the quest and all of the entries cleared themselves at that point.

OH MEW! What a visit that was!

So many profound things seen, heard and experienced! o.o

                              Amazing things! 0.0

                              Mysterious things! O.O

                              Incredible things! @.@

And I'm not done with the main quest yet or started any guilds! =^^=

but WHY in the world did they put those skittery things outdoors? ><

I was like "I'm gonna be mew mew safe from them as long as I don't enter any dungeons." And those things are skittering in the forests and stuff! >_< THEY EVEN JUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *waaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!* Good thing those Riften gate guards helped out.

Well the Dwemer versions aren't that scary since they are just robots. But still..... >.>

Anyway, the story is getting even more profoundly intense, mew!!!! There was this one tricky part, but I managed to get through with a clever Wind whatever shout. It even works across mid-air as long as you are standing on something!

(if it wasn't for that, I don't know how I would have advanced in that dungeon where you have to reached the upper platform to continue. There are these 3 round stream platforms that help get on the platform, but the upper floor platforms are closed by these fences, so I had to Wind shout across by aiming at the other side, carefully aim the shout between a pipe I think and the fence itself, zoomed across, from there it was careful jumping to get over the pipe stuff and on the platform!)

mew, this is like the deepest dungeon in Skyrim, I think! It feels like 5 dungeons linked together but I think I'm close to the item of massive spoilers!
