    Nice. XD

    PS > I just spent an hour and a half trying to get to the peak of the mountain by the first town, all I got for getting to the top was a pickaxe and some ebony and other ores which I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to have at lvl 1 (restarted my character and made him Imperial instead of Breton.)

    Died at least 5 times trying to go down, one of which due to some nasty blizzard thing that I probably need ice resistance for.

    That rebel guy was like "We should split up." and I was like "Ok, see ya!" and went climbing. XD

    Gotta love having no walls and an open world.

      I can't even be bothered to read your "footnotes" half of the time, Ray.

        I think of them as less intrusive posts within my posts, thank you very much.

        What? What do you mean that's what a footnote is? Murphie you crazy.

          Sounds like you got to the tip of the Throat of the World. Did you happen to see any dragons while you were up there?

                Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM

                Had another awkward dragon attack this time it touched down outside of a town where's a frost troll, a giant, a Kajit caravan and city guards converged to fight it. Frost troll died but we got the dragon.

                But then the giant wasn't done and went after the Kajit, which the guards would not stand for and so the giant killed them. I had tried to peel if off then with shouts and stokes and it's rather funny to see the giant get tossed by my sonic thu'ums, but it chased me down and squished me.

                From what I can tell, particularly since I had to reload from the last save, it seems like there will be a point the game just decides a dragon will attack and where you choose to go on the overworld map won't change that. If it happened one place and you reload to try another, the dragon still appears.

                  I don't get why people are so scared of dragons when Giants are tougher, at least at this early stage in the game. <_<;

                  I got killed so fast when I bumped into a pair of giants I thought it had been a glitch, but nope, they are that strong. I walk up to them to see if they could talk and they were like "Oh look, a fly. *swat*"

                  So far no random dragons for me at all.

                  Originally I was trying to follow the dragon that attacked Helgen, and by the time I lost it I had already climbed enough to see it could work, so I kept going.

When digitizing an analog signal, you need to sample it at x2 its highest frequency to be able to convert it back to analog perfectly; a 48khz sample rate insures you can play sounds of up to 24khz accurately. Am I missing something here?
                    This is called oversampling and is used with a digital filter.

                      You have to start a sequence of events to unlock the first real dragon fight. You can set the sequence of events by either talking to the merchant in Riverwood or the jarl in Whiterun, it'll trigger the same mission and dungeon you'll need to go to to learn the first word to your first dragon shout.

                      To use a shout you need the word and to absorb the soul of a dragon. After you complete the mission in question a dragon will attack a tower outside of Whiterun. Kill it to unlock your fist shout. From this point, dragons will continue to appear all through the game. You want them to appear so you can learn shouts and they are also a nice source of loot.

                        Lol, converted the million hides and pelts I gathered from hunting deer and killing wolves into leather then then half the leather into strips then just wasted my time making leather armor at a forge.

                        Boom Smith level 46, and unlucked dwarf and elf armor, then wasted a couple of hours exploring, found a keep that had ice mages in it, after killing them I looted some quicksilver, then found Dawnstar bought some materials and crafted the gear.

                        Full elf gear including a sword and a shield
                        3 parts of the dwarf gear body/hands/shoes.

                        Really want the helm though :/...

                        I still didn't go to the greybeards whatchamacallem after beating the first dragon lol.

                          Smithing is definitely a neat skill to level, even if only to create Daedric or Dragon armor for your follower. If you can skill up your Speech for better prices, often times you can buy out all the materials from a smith, create stuff, and sell it back for a profit.

                          Another way for a quick boost to Smithing is through the miners outside of Markarth. They'll have a job for you that involves a mine rich with gold.

                            I blame Icemage. Guilty by association!

                              Good point, I couldn't have had a random dragon encounter up there because I did it just after escaping Helgen with my new character. So I hadn't even visited Riverwood at that point, leave alone getting the first word.

                              _______

                              I'm loving the game, already took a ton of pics and always find something to surprise me, got many memorable/whoahmoments so far. Like this time I was riding at night to do a quest and saw these, bright blue light things, just floating around. I got off my horse and followed them... yep, I got some nice screenshots from that event, that's for sure.

                              And I seriously lose track of time while playing. When I started playing it was 9AM, then when I noticed it was already 5PM, and then it was 5AM. <_<;;

                              I somehow managed to actually eat something yesterday, but it was funny calling Pizza Hut and going back to play only to have them ring on the door in what felt like 2 or 3 minutes later.

                              I just hope I can muster the resolve to go to sleep at a decent hour today, because I'm running on 2 hours of sleep right now. XD
