There's a better chance of that happening than me joining up with the damn Storm Cloaks. Those assholes got me put on the execution block and at least that one imperial guy helped me to get the hell away from the fire-breathing monstrosity at the beginning.

Really though, fuck 'em both. I don't want to side with either of them because they're all assholes. It was really annoying when that carried over into White Run's clans. I don't want to pick sides in that squabble when it just means choosing Empire or the Rebellion. Screw you both, I'll throw my lot in with the Companions. At least those guys are politically neutral. They just care about hitting things with swords, which is a much better philosophy than whatever the hell it is the Empire and the Storm Cloaks are peddling.

I helped Saadia because she was being hunted and asked for help. I'm just a simple Nord and I told her I would help her, so I did. If you don't like it I've got an axe I'd like to introduce to your skull.

Actually, who you followed in the tutorial level was a choice, too. Original character i followed the Nord out, the other character I followed the imperial.

Also, you'd take an arrow to both knees before you'd ever get close to me with an axe

Side note: the Saadia quest is up for interpretation. Each character has their own side of the story, and neither can really be trusted. It's suppose to be a he-said she-said type of situation.

A true Nord fights the Thalmor and earns their rightful place in Sovngard. If the empire is so weak they can't repel the Thalmor menace and end up as their puppets then a change of course is needed.

Being the type of gamer that I am, I refuse to use any kind of guide for my first playthrough of anything. As a result, guess who spent 2 hours this morning trying to climb a fucking mountain before figuring out there was a goddamn staircase. To my credit... I did get high enough to see the Monastery at one point, if I jumped...

I did the same climb while following that dragon -that should not be named- when I remade my char. XD Did you get to the top with the Pickaxe?

Also, say no to guides, they can really mess up the fun in these games.

No pickaxe. I made it most of the way using the same strafing/jumping technique I've used in every Bethesta game to date. It seems that the finally nerfed the ability to scale impossible cliffs by tapping backwards and jumping forwards. I'm sad to see my godlike spelunking ability nerfed... but at least it's more realistic now.

When the hell do you kill a dragon in the game? I've gotten three shouts so far, but have yet to kill any dragons, so no souls, so no shouts... :/

.... Which quest is the main story line? <.< I've been running about killing stuff, collecting shouts, and doing stuff for the Companions in white run.... So far got turned into a were wolf, and got raped by Krosis....

The Yarl of Whiterun asks you to talk to his Court Mage. Said Mage sends you to collect a Stone from a Dungeon. Bring Stone back to Mage. Soon afterwords comes the first Dragon. I won't spoil the story any more than that.
