Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
Too late for this to work for you but I too entered Markarth and was told I'd just turned into a Vampire. This is kinda a while ago... well, I remembered how much of a pain in the ass Vampirism was in Oblivion... I reloaded so I was able to drink a Cure Disease potion and kill it before I had to deal with that mess. Good Luck.

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
So I became a vampire in Markarth, going to kill the master vampire around there. I killed him, cmoe out of the cave, and then the towns people attack me. I went and got the blessing at a local temple and got the "cure disease" flash up on the screen, but I'm still a vampire. So... any other idea how I can cure it. I tell you what, this is really going to ruin the story if I cant talk to humans anymore and continue questing because I'm a vampire... sucks...

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
My only complaint about books is that it's sometimes difficult to find all the volumes in a series. I'm missing 2 or 3 volumes of the Wolf Queen and I don't wanna read it until I've got the whole set
It makes for a good open-ended treasure hunt though, so it's not really all that bad.

Books?
Jeez, how lazy. Everything should just have cutscenes to explain things to me!

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
Falmer are blind so as long as you don't make too much noise you can stealth your way through. <_<;
But either way they are very depressing to look at. orz
PS > Have you read the books about the Falmer? It's just saaaaaaad.

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
Yeah, Falmer aren't hard to deal with.
They already can't see that well, so if you use arrows or Throw Voice to draw their attention elsewhere - they're very keen of hearing - you'll be able to get the drop on them pretty easily.

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
Takes some time to get used to the Falmer, but considering their background there's just no winning with them. <_<;

Today in Skyrim:
Bah, 4K short of being able to buy property in Solitude.
Up to the point in the main story where I have to delve into a dwarven ruin. My least favorite kind. Because now I have to deal with the repulsive Falmer again.

I really want to believe someone at Bethesda listens to that podcast and it's the same fishstick.

Re: Elder Scrolls SKYRIM
So what is it that affects how certain NPCs react to your playstyle? Is it primarily your actions or the particular perks you've selected? Or is it just what you have equipped at the moment?
I've often have guards making comments to me like "Destruction magic's fine. Just don't go burning down any buildings" or "Don't think you can barter with me like those shopkeepers." I'm suspecting the second one is related to having Speech perks. Then there's "Think you can enchant my sword? Dull thing can barely cut butter." Is that because I have Enchanting perks or because I walk around town wearing fully enchanted armor?
