Re: RTS games like End War?

It'll look like crap, but SC2 can run on even the cheapest of PCs available now.

So, unless you have some horrendously dated piece of shit (7+ years old) for a PC/Laptop, you can run two of the best RTS games without much/any trouble on your computer - C&C 3 + Kane's Wrath, and Starcraft 2. If you really want to play RTS that much I don't get why you aren't on SC2 since that's like, the best god damn RTS out there.

I'll repeat it again since you missed it the first time.

Console gaming for RTS sucks. Period. If you don't like it, request a transfer to an alternate dimension.

I have played some pretty good console RTS games on the PS2. I can't remember their names right now, but they where like the Shogun games out there.

No, no. It was a game that had an isometric view of the battle field. You controlled where the units went, and you could give them special commands such as a Volley command, or a Pike Line command.

Sure you're not talking about Turn-Based Strategy there?

My guess at this would be Kessin (though Malacite was close with his Dynasty Warriors guess, since it's made by the same company and in the same Romance of the 3 Kingdoms setting).

Kessin was a "so-so" RTS. It still suffers horribly from clunky controls, and a decided lack of processing power makes the AI extremely predictable. Most of the difficulty came from the set-piece battles having you be outnumbered. The sequels weren't any better, either; Kessin 2 gave your commanders more powerful commands, and Kessin 3 gave you some sort of local skirmish command as I recall.

If you're going to hold forth Kessin as an example of a "good" RTS, then my only comment there is that your taste in RTS games blows chunks.
