  • Lollipop Chainsaw to be published by WB Interactive

WB bringing Lollipop Chainsaw to the US, website now up -Destructoid

So Ubi Soft published No More Heroes for Wii... hardly marketed it, but it went down a critical success.
EA published Shadows of the Damned and didn't really promote it much... Mixed reviews, but good game.

Now Suda 51's Lollipop Chainsaw is coming from Warner Bros. Interactive this time. This means it might actually get a shot and proper marketing, well, except instead of rampant dick jokes from male protagonist we'll be getting them from a chainsaw wielding cheerleader with a decapitated head attached to her belt.

    Classy.

Whether or not the heroine Juliet Starling is the sister of Bad Girl from No More Heroes was not mentioned.

Its coming to PS3 and 360 sometime next year.

Apparently, Juliet's breasts are not large enough to get gamer outrage.

      Perhaps they should be inflated?

size of the breasts are all in the type of game, big breasts would fit this crazy game, unlike they would in that other one.

Also I am sure her breasts don't bounce like hyper bouncy balls like the Sorceresses do -.-

I for one cannot wait. I love Suda 51's games, and this looks like it is going to be a blast.

And the main character is voiced by Tara Strong and it sounds just like her Twilight Sparkle voice so there's another obvious benefit for me.

Lastly, I love alternate outfits, and this game looks to have plenty.

San Romero is a nod to George A. Romero, director of "Night of the Living Dead". He's also known as the "Godfather of all Zombies".

I kinda got Suda's love for American film when No More Heroes felt like Kill Bill with a lightsaber and there was the Evil Dead reference in Shadow's of the Damned.

His next game has been announced - Killer is Dead.

Anyone that's played Resident Evil or Dead Rising or Left 4 Dead or just seen a zombie movie in the last several years knows who Romero is or has at least heard about his work.

People aren't THAT oblivious. I know better than to underestimate those younger than me on things like this. Hell, most of them are currently ripping the Total Recall trailer to shreds for its innaccuracies after nitpicking The Hunger Games.

When I picked up Xenoblade today I saw two 19 year olds fanboy over Juliet's Ash DLC costume, it was 30-something that didn't get it.

I'll bite. I've played L4D2 and saw a friend play through most of Resident Evil 1 when I was in 3rd grade and I've never heard of Romero. It was obvious that L4D is a parody of zombie movies but that doesn't mean that I know which movie originated the zombie apocalypse genre or who made it famous.

Considering Night of the Living Dead is from 68, a LOT of gamers have been born after that movie.

I'd never heard of that guy until today. The only Romero I'm remotely familiar with is John Romero.

Two fun people were asked to leave PAX East -Destructoid

Jessica Nigri (official cosplayer of Lollipop Chainsaw's Juliet Starling) and Keith Apicary were kicked out of PAX East today.

Apparently both for being TOO HOT for Pax. Well, Keith more than Jessica since he danced in his briefs and Jessica had that plunging neckline on her pink body suit, the sort of plunging neckline that ends just below the belly button.

Just in case, probably NSFW, but not THAT bad

She changed back to default Juliet Starling when she was asked to

... and then they changed their minds a kicked her out anyway. She is also known for her Pikachu (which Nintendo sadly never endorses):

Still, why kick out the fun people?

I would post pics of what Keith did, but it might render people blind.

I see people are still more scared of a good looking girl's body than the chainsaw she was carrying.
