  • Mass Effect 3

Thought I'd just get the hype rolling in advance of the March 2012 release.

The ME3 Dev Walkthrough / Q&A had me squeeing like J9. Looking set to be every bit as good as ME2 and then some.

The last chapter of the Mass Effect 3 Shepherd story anyways
That comment had me raising an eyebrow. If they're going to release more games in the series I'd really like to see something completely unrelated to the Reaper storyline. Maybe a prequel covering the initial alien encounters and Turian War era.

It's EA, you'll be getting yearly ME releases to keep you "entertained".

    Also, Vanquish > ME now.

      *Slowly raises gun...*

Anyway, looking pretty good (Omni-tool Blade? That's so gonna be Infiltrator's melee), but no more videos and info for me. I want to run in ME3 like I did with 1 and 2; completely clueless. It's been awhile since I've had a game keep me up two nights in a row, I expect the same from 3. (Maybe three nights in a row now. Get it?!)

Personal preference but I think it looks like a cheap arcade rip-off of ME. Also, with the exception of Valkyria Chronicles, I usually avoid Sega titles like the plague.

Wat? I liked Vanquish a lot, but you can't be serious.

Personally, as long as I don't have to drag that limp dishrag Jacob around with me any more in ME3, that will make me happy.

P.S. I loved ME2 so much that I bought it on PC, then bought the PS3 version.

Wait, what does Vanquish have to do with any of this?

I don't see Shepard gliding around at 90+ miles an hour & using slow-mo to obliterate everything... Looks like your standard 3PS to me.

Also Vanquish had a retarded, poorly acted plot. Amazing action though.

Of course I'm not, my point is Mass Effect seems to be going in that direction.

I loved the original Mass Effect, then EA happened.

I liked both ME's the same to be honest and I expect nothing short of spectacular from the third game in the franchise.

The delays are reassuring that they're not pulling another DA2 on us, but they're still working under EA's banner, its anyone's guess right now if that game's an indicator of the future. If they want to play things smart in the future, they'll make sure Mass Effect and Dragon Age remain different instead of listening to EA's boardroom and making them more alike.
