now that is funny, I never play MW for the online, I play the story, loved it, and can not wait to see what happens next

I enjoyed the storyline in CoD4:MW. It was short, coherent, and didn't outlast its welcome. I haven't liked any of the main campaigns since then. I find it offensive that the writers for the series think pathos = killing off the current main character, and they use that gimmick way too often.

still waiting to hear about their online service..... if it is as bad as the Gamecube/wii then that will be a problem

Yeah, not enough info.

I dunno, I'm just not feeling the excitement coming out of E3 like I did at last year's. I liked all 3 shows, but I just don't feel blown away by anything.

I do the new Nintendo system (other then the size of the controller) but I am sure it is something to get used to.

I like all the ideas they have to use it in different ways, hell DS/3DS games could be ported to Wii U easy now.

The controller does seem to have some functionally of its won without the system. but very limited.

Quick impression of Nintendo:

- Wii U name is a bit silly. I can understand wanting to sort of hang onto the "Wii" marketing hype, but the hype isn't really there any more.

- The controller looks like a disaster to me. Terrible control layout. TERRIBLE. Analog nubs? Worst element of the PSP, and this thing has TWO of them. And ABOVE the face buttons? How does that even work?

- 3DS software lineup announcement was unimpressive as well.

Overall: Not impressed. D+

The hardcore gamer on iPad/iPhone games:

This would be so much better if it had some analog sticks, a D-Pad and some buttons

So Nintendo listens and does that conjunction with an HD console they've been begging for:

I don't mind the HD - that's good.

I don't mind the fact it has buttons - that's also good.

The problem is the layout. You wouldn't use your cell phone as a controller, and that thing is shaped like a big oversized cell phone. It looks uncomfortable to play, and I'd love to see how you use those face buttons when your thumbs are somehow reaching up to tilt those "analog circles".

Also, $100+ controller? 6.2" LCD screens that can transcode an HD stream can't be cheap, and we know Nintendo never sells hardware at a loss.

EDIT: Also, wireless so its battery powered. How much would you like to wager that it has a relatively short battery life with that screen bleeding off power?
