the characters make me want to kill myself, but the game was still enjoyable enough...
Pretty much this. And even then, it was only really Hope & Lightning that pissed me off. Vanille was a bit too cheery but that gets explained. Loved Fang.
Fairly weak plot but otherwise enjoyable. Just not as memorable as the others.
Cool screens, but what is up with SE and all these FF sequals? I mean FFX-2 was way to easy and dumb..thought they would of learned from that..I guess not! :\ I wish we had the old FF from back in the day good games and no lame..sequals!
FFX-2 was a light hearted experiment, mew. They confirmed FFXIII-2 is a serious story and they are taking it's development seriously so it doesn't feel like an expansion pack.
Also there are rumors of FFXV being announced (or maybe some people are making FFXV fansites too early.)
Some things from people who have played+what S-E has said:
There are branching paths, both on the field and in the story (think Mass Effect like choices)
You can interact with NPCs (OMG!! :p)
There is a newer aggro system
All the old characters are returning
The moogle turned into Serah's bow
Still has party leader die->Game over
Monsters are recruitable if they drop crystals after a fight. They have their own separate party slot
Environments in old areas will open up as story progresses
There seems to be some element of time travel(?)
15 min of gamelplay (if you can stomach the people who recorded it talking)
Hmm the game play does look the same....*sigh* I do like the rain element being able to see it on the screen lol and talking to NPCs is pretty cool too!! That and the map area does seem to be bigger too....
