You could be getting them in a good set of games, like Ico and SotC Collection.

This is more of me being stubborn and OCD than wanting trophies. If I just wanted trophies, I've got 100+ games I could still be earning them on.

Or you can do what I do and preorder it from everywhere, get the bonuses then return the damn thing to wherever you got the worst deal from.

As a completionist I effing hate preorder bonuses, but at least I have a way around it.

well good thing about pre-order bonuses is that in itself convinces companies to offer something extra, mew.

And these pre-order bonuses like costume are good because they are usable in-game instead of collector's edition fluff that just sits there.

Yes but... hmmm... sounds funny but I'd much rather pay for the stuff as DLC than go through the trouble of returning games. It gets increasingly difficult to return things nowadays.

I don't really give a shit either way - I'm renting this.

At least 13 came with a chance at the 14 beta (shitty as it turned out etc etc. but hey it was a sweet idea at the time). The boss fight MIGHT be cool, if it gets you some kind of unique gear. But again, who cares?

And as a matter of just throwing it out there, if Dissidia's DLC is anything to go by in the west (possibly Japan too, not sure) pre-order DLC is only available through pre-order and not available for purchase at a later date. Though apparently The Last Remnant pre-order bonus was put up for a buck later, but the 360 reception for that game wasn't very good...

That's because the game had a lot of flaws. It was one of the most hyped RPGs ever on the 360 and it failed to deliver, badly.

It was an OK game, I still like it - but SE really, REALLY fucked up on some key areas. Like the rare monster spawns for one thing...

In TLR's defense, that game had some seriously great combat mechanics and I would dearly love for SE to revisit the Unions system. The PC version was better, but still faced a lot of the same flaws (bad acting & a poor script despite having some top notch people) and the pop-in textures as a result of the UT engine.

Anyhoo, enough about TLR. Do you REALLY get Omega as a pet? That seems really, REALLY freaking OP...

I really liked TLR, and interestingly enough the core mechanic was the best part of the game by far. So grinding some parts didn't feel so bad because battles were a lot of fun.

Union battles beat the crap out of XII's lolpseudof2pmmog combat system and everything after that, really. Which is why I think the only people who thought XII was any good were the guys who never got the chance to play TLR on PC.

I liked that they got Johnny Yong Bosch to do Rush, but Rush's lines were just so BAD.

Wow that's funny, so both versions had their respective Ichigo actors o. O;

I played it on 360 (snagged it for $5 lol) and again, I overall liked the game and really, really want SE to make another one. But they have a lot of work that needs to be done. Like a plot that doesn't suck, and a little more control over equipment, stats & strategy.

I didn't mind that your AI guys upgraded their own stuff, I thought that was pretty cool - but hunting for materials for them (and worse yet, money) was worse than fucking Ragnarok Online. Someone at SE needs to be fired for approving some of the recent systems - TLR, FF12, and FF13 are all egregious cock slaps to the face in this regard.

No SE, just because there are trophies involved doesn't mean I should have to do missable quest A so that I can flag missable quest B so that I can farm materials from a rare monster that only spawns during very specific, rare sequences for a drop that's yet rarer still just so I can get a god damn fucking item that makes it possible to farm items from yet another rare monster who wouldn't drop it otherwise!!!!

Honestly, TLR really pushed me to the brink of my sanity but I got all the bloody achievements. They need to fix the BR system too, as it's horribly confusing and the game actually gives you the wrong advice. You're encouraged to get a high BR and chain enemies for drops - when this actually ends up gimping your stats and making boss battles and rare monster fights incredibly difficult.

I really, really hope some people got sacked.
