Meh. I didn't complain the current campaign mode, so I don't see myself any more interested in another one. They still need to nerf the Terran Swarm.

This is pretty epic though.

But you're not an SC fan who cares what you think? There is a huge amount of info in the links I put up, a hell of a lot more than I expected to see even at Blizzcon.

I thought the single-player Terran campaign was a bit 'meh.' Not too hyped about this one, and I was traditionally a huge Starcraft fan. But maybe they'll change my mind as they reveal more info.

I'm really loving the huge focus on Evolution. Some of those upgrades they listed are just insane, like Instant-hatch zerglings and when they die they have 20% chance to spawn broodlings @.@;


The Gorgelings are freaking awesome too - giant purple banelings that give you 25% of the mineral & gas cost of any units they kill. Hurray for economical kamikaze units!

The roach upgrades they showed were rather underwhelming though, about the only thing I wasn't honestly excited over. But all that can change between now& launch.

They've also specifically singled out the Reaper.

During a talk entitled The Game Design of Starcraft II: Designing an E-Sport at GDC Browder admitted that the team did encounter some surprises when the game was finally released: “The Reaper is not in a happy place. It was a bit of a mis-step for us. The players showed us what it was capable of and we nerfed it into obscurity. This will be addressed in Heart of the Swarm.”

Blizzard doesn't know what balance is, plain and simple. They've proven this throughout the long life span of WoW, and through the still-short life of Starcraft 2. Expecting anything like balance from them is just getting your hopes up. The only people who do it worse than them is Riot.

NO. NO. NOT BA-ZING!

I can't claim to remember every single update for each game where balance was ruined, fixed, and/or re-ruined, but WoW has had a long, storied history of imbalance. I know that will never change. Final Fantasy XI wasn't that bad, it was simply the elitist, white-box mentality that many players had that kept certain classes down.

Riot pretty much banks on imbalance. They release super-powered Champions once every few weeks to rake in the cash, then tones it down a bit somewhere down the line. Even so, one of their most shallow and imbalanced champions, Annie, is their paradigm of balance. They justify it by calling them "carries", meaning they're meant to carry the teams to victory.
