    Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy

    Baltimore Symphony Orchestra - Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY

    I attended the concert last year at Wolf Trap, and it was quite nice. Will be attending again this year and I was able to grab the premium tickets, so I will get a -- probably once in my lifetime -- opportunity to meet and get an autograph/photo with Nobuo Uematsu.

    They're coming to LA in September so I will finally get to go. :D Last time I attended a FF concert was in 2005, the "More Friends: Music from FF" concert that they recorded and sold as an album. That concert was one of the highlights of all my musical experiences thus far, for one reason: it was the premiere of "One Winged Angel" with both orchestra AND The Black Mages. Now, of course, that song is completely overplayed, and I'm really really tired of it, but that initial performance of it blew me away.

    I'm gonna go for the premium tix this time and get a pic with the man himself!

        I had basically sworn off Baltimore. Last Otakon was just a weird, uncomfortable feeling because of the crap happening around the convention center & inner harbor.

        Uematsu wasn't at the Wolf Trap event last year, and I'm not sure when/if they'll be back around, so I don't think I can pass this opportunity up. >_<

                I'm sure we'll be ok. We won't be near the inner harbor, so that's a plus. Don't need to see any more homeless guys pooping in a park.
