Bit.Trip Saga coming to 3DS in one package

Bit.Trip comes to the 3DS with Bit.Trip Saga- Destructoid



Aksys Games has confirmed they will being compiling all six of Gajin Games' Bit.Trip installments into one cart for release on the 3DS in Bit.Trip Saga. These retro-flavored sometimes rhythm-themed games were already trippy enough on the existing platforms we've seen, now they'll be in 3D.

I had Runner and Fate downloaded to my Wii and I find them rather hard, but satisfying all the same.

I never knew the street date for this til now, but its Sept. 13th, just a few weeks away.

In addition to Bit.Trip Saga for the 3DS, there's also Bit.Trip Complete for the Wii.

I think the difference for the Wii version is that they're including alternative soundtrack options for that version. Or both, I forget.

Regardless, I'll get the 3DS one for sure. Can't leave that Bit.Trip at home.

OK, some other news on this.

Funny story though. This game is two and a half weeks out from retail release, Gamestop has a pre-order bonuses for them and none of the pre-order information about them is in the computers yet. But the press knows. May not be until tomorrow you can actually pre-order the game in-store at all.

Pre-order the 3DS version online and you get a sampler soundtrack including three tracks from each game.
Pre-order the Wii version in-store and you'll get the same soundtrack.

I'm still leaning toward the 3DS version. I may get the Wii version a few weeks later and save it as a stocking stuffer for the family.

Reviews are popping up now.

Seems the Wii version has the multiplayer of the download versions and new content and the 3DS version is more the standard versions of the games minus multiplayer, but with better touch controls and no forced tilt like some of the iOS versions, which didn't seem to help the game be as enjoyable on iOS as the Wii (given you tilted the Wiimote instead of the whole damn screen.

There's also options for analog control on each game, but the touch seems to be more in-spirit with the series than analox, though for Flux, I'd probably to analog anyway.
