I loved the first two, but it's hard to take it seriously because his last name is Volnutt. Now they're stealing Barrett's name? Not cool.

The last known date for the eShop was mid-to-late May.

I suspect it will conveniently open during or shortly after E3. Last time with DSi, they had Mario Vs. DK: Minis March Again up for free on the DSiWare shop right after showing it off at E3, so I'm expecting a repeat of that kind of event as people will be more on-board this time out with 3DS.

Here's hoping the GBC Zeldas are there at launch as well as some news on a GBA VC channel. I know Nintendo will get around to the GBA stuff, I think its just they don't want the Game Gear and T-16 stuff getting steamrolled just when they get a new lease on life and I'm pretty sure that was a condition Sega and NEC had this time out with being on VC.

The part that bothers you is that his last name is Volnutt and not that his name is Mega Man?

I'm still hoping for Virtual Boy games.

Reminds me as sort of a twist between Zero & Blues, but with that Rockman Dash twist ^^

I'm guessing we'll be playing as Barret then for the majority, or at least 1st half of the game since Rockman is still trapped on his homeworld.

I wouldn't know about that. Wouldn't be Mega Man Legends if you're not playing Mega Man most of the time. Unless Barrett has customizable weapons too. I guess Aero will be Barrett's Spotter.

So long as they bring Wario Land and Jack Bros., though I suspect that the 3DSWare would play host to Virtual Boy remakes and other 3D-enhanced games.

I'd rather not go back to the red-and-black games. Black and white, maybe, but red I think brought on the migraines.

Don't forget Mario Clash. I agree that the red was not so good, but they can probably do something about that.

Some more eShop related news here

Miyamoto talks eShop, 3D Link to the Past- Destructoid

Miyamoto uses the Xevious 3D 3DS tech demo that they showed off at E3 to hint at a 3D LTTP would be "cool." So I think we now have a good idea what his little side project for the Zelda anniversary has been.

It would admittedly be cool since LTTP always did have that sense of depth going for it, even if it was just top down parallaxing

Unfortunately it seems that Prototype won't be coming out with the eShop, Capcom delayed it.

Plus Capcom was intending to charge for what was a glorified mini-demo that is mostly just a debug mode with easter eggs anyway. This for a game that's in development hell, on hold and they're not sure about making anyway.

It's worse than that. I read on joystiq a while back (and they talked about it on Invisible Walls) that Capcom is gonna charge something like $5~10 for it, and if people don't buy it, they'll cancel the whole project.

                            I'm fucking done with Capcom.

It was going to be more like $2.

And sure you're "done" with Capcom. Just like Activision, right?.
