He one shotted the first tier of the Jaquio fight with the Spinning Slash - that's entirely possible because you're just damaging a crystal. Hell you can take out the first two bosses in the game with the same tactic. The Spinning Slash is the most powerful move in the game, but its a subweapon attack like any other.
Anything one-shotted after the crystal would be bullshit because on the first tier the subweapon points are tallied into the high score, bringing you down to 0 for subweapons. The spinning slash would be removed on account of that as well. I didn't watch the whole video, but what I saw was legit.
That said, its a 22 year-old game. This game has been beaten every way you could possibly beat it, translating it to a dance pad isn't that much of a feat save for dodging those damn birds.
