  • EU PSN to get PSP remakes of FF and FFII soon

Final Fantasy 1 and 2 PSP remakes coming to PSN in Europe | Joystiq

Dunno if this means the US will be seeing them soon, but here's hoping (though SCEA never fails to disappoint).

If you're looking at getting Dissidia Duodecim, you'll find a redeem coupon for half off Final Fantasy and if you're looking to pick up The 3rd Birthday a redeem coupon for Final Fantasy II will be included in that.

Hopefully this is a sign SE is stepping up the PSN support and filling the gaps in their PSN library, you know, since Sony can't be bothered to get off their asses and give developers incentives to do it. Then again the approval process with Sony is pretty terrible, so getting your game out on the virtual marketplace might take so long its not even profitable.

I hope so, In prep for the PSP 2 I ditched my 3000 and stole (might as well it was $100 used at work) a GO, I kept the three titles I had that where not on PSN for my collection sake though. Disney really needs to let go of Kingdom Hearts and let it go on PSN -.-

I would like Final Fantasy II Anniversary Edition playable on PS3 without needing PSP. Since Sony is abandoning PSP for PSP2 , maybe the next version update will add a PSP emulator to play PSN PSP games using PS3 with 4:3 and 16:9 fullscreen options, mew!

I have FF7 and FF8 from PSN too. They are fullscreen because I have a sdtv, which matches their original aspect ratio. :3 But what I mean is that the PSP remakes of FF1 and FF2 have better visuals and improvements over the PS1 FF1 and FF2 remakes (which I used to own.) I was just mentioning how nice it would be if those PSP version of the remakes were playable on PS3 too, but that's okay, I would of bought them if they could but there are bigger things to look forward to, mew.

It would be blown up and ugly, that's what it would look like on an HDTV. HDTV resolution and PSP resolution aren't even close to the same.

It looks sharp and crisp on the PSP, but even blowing it up to standard definition TV aspect ratios is ugly. Go play Silent Hill Origins and Liberty City Stories on PS2 if you don't believe me.
