well this is intended for tuesday mew, but that is around the corner and sources are starting to get really for live information sharing and perhaps media, mew! I am really hoping they have something more to talk about than Final Fantasy-related material because so far that's all they have lined up for this show - Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts.

They need to start getting to spilling the beans on Dragon Quest X and where that went. I suspect with the success DQIX had on DS that it might have jumped from Wii to 3DS. Its not like it would have been that difficult to move the project to that platform considering what it can is practically comparable to the Wii.

FF Vs. III and Agito Final Fantasy XIII are givens.

I'll even commend SE on the new IP that dropped this week in Mindjack, but they're really wearing out Final Fantasy now and that needs to slow the fuck down.

And there's the rumored FFXIII-2 and Hajime Tabata wants to do Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII after he puts Agito FFXIII to bed.

And I'd suspect there's some kind of Final Fantasy XI and XIV news to be had here as well, as there's been no FanFest. SE has to talk about the next content for FFXI at least. I was always left with the impression Abyssea was going to go to 99 and they stopped at 90. I don't even care to go back to FFXI, I'm just curious if they're going to put a proper expansion out again instead of just more add-ons.

There will probably be a secret character reveal for Dissidia, too. The main line-up is finalized, so only secret characters are left. They also need to say it has Infrastructure play, but just based on Lord of Arcana, I worry its once again ad-hoc only.

But really, I'd like to see something new, and I'm also kinda ticked about them pushing Deus Ex back from its March release date. I mean, from every preview I've read this game is ready to go now, incredibly polished and they push it back to make their next fiscal year look better.

But that's a dirty western game and the Japanese won't care about it, so we won't hear about it at this show.

Aside from that, I'd really just like to see something else new. This first Quarter in the US is pretty nicely varied for SE. Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, MindJack, Lord of Arcana, Dragon Quest VI, Tactics Ogre:Let Us Cling Together, Dissidia 012 and The 3rd Birthday

EDIT: Aaaannd I realized all of this is from their 1st Production studio, so is likely all just going to be anything Final Fantasy that isn't the FFIV collection and the MMOs. Kinda lame.

Basic news of show:

New trailer for FF vs. XIII shown.

Agito Final Fantasy XIII seemed to have practically nothing to do with the XIII backstory mythos, so Tabata decided to rename it Final Fantasy Type 0. Or in Japan, Final Fantasy 0-Shiki

FFXIII-2 is indeed confirmed. It will be released in 2011 for PS3 and 360 (commence PS3 fanboy "360 is holding it back" nonsense)



Kingdom Hearts 3DS is now Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.

Dissidia 012 has confirmed Prishe and the inclusion of (probably FFV) Gilgamesh has been implied in the new trailer, but not revealed.

Aerith will appear in D012 if you get the Prologus demo off PSN (which in Japan is oddly a paid demo). However, she does not appear in the demo itself and only appears in the main game as an Assist character (she was never really a fighter anyway).

There also seems to be a Dissida 012 connection to the FFIV Collection as a PSN redeem code comes packed in with FFIV for PSP.

From what I could tell of the 5 seconds of new footage, FFXIII-2 doesn't appear to be going for that "cute" image. Buuuut who knows. I also don't expect it to actually release in 2011... probably by March 2012. Still, I do admit I'm excited for an extension of what happened in the original.

Also, why the heck did they put the entire ending to FFXIII in that trailer? That would piss me off if I hadn't beaten XIII yet lol.
