    Nomura confirms first sign of FFXIII-2 hurray!!! ^_^

    This is great news! Well it might be a sequel, but they could correct many things that were wrong or missing from FFXIII.

    Maybe FFXIII-2 will include FFXIII on the disk?

    Well it should be:

    1. PS3 exclusive
    2. include local and online co-op, using a Menu Design similiar to Chrono Trigger so players can see and use their own command menu.
    3. Make Gadot, Marquis, Lebreau, and Serah into party members (even if they have to get L'Cied again or some other power source. ) And each should get their own Eidolon.
    Gadot - Doomtrain weapon: submachine gun
    Marquis - Ramuh weapon: wrench
    Lebreau - Leviathan or an original Eidolon. weapon: sniper rifle
    Serah - Phoenix or Starlet weapon: whip

    4. include entire XIII on same blueray disk besides XIII-2.
    5. include everything cut from XIII.
    6. add actual towns/villages and people to talk to and stuff.
    7. make a cooler final boss and better final boss theme this time, mew!

    All of the heroes from XIII were no longer L'Cie, and presumably can't use magic anymore. But there are still Fal'Cie out there and they might become L'Cie again. Well maybe, or maybe they keep their magic powers? Anyways I don't think the L'Cie thing will be gone.

    FFXIII-2 story might be about the quest to end the L'Cie curse and Cieth curse once and for all and free all those that turned to stone/whatever.


    but you know, mew, knowing Square Enix, it might end up being a low budget project that's dumped on a inferior system like a portable platform like what happened to FFXII Revenant Wings. >.<

      Jumping to conclusions much? And IF they were to make XIII-2, you'd have to pray they don't jump the shark the way they did with X-2.

      There's also no way they're giving you XIII bundled with it for free.

        Well X-2 was their first test with a Final Fantasy sequel, so they took much liberation in experimentation. While not quite as epic as FFX, X-2 was more of a relaxed and party feeling Final Fantasy. All of the Final Fantasies were dark up to that point. And FFX-2 took place after the world was saved and things were calm for the most part.


        Well if FFXIII-2 is made for PS3, it will not end up like a brief "Xtreme Legends" edition. I'm sure Wada has felt the hate from Japanese consumers regarding FFXIII's end product, so I think FFXIII-2 will match or surpass XIII in many ways. But it somewhat depends what directions they go with it.

        Maybe it will be as deep, open and great like FF12 while still having great persistent character interaction? ( which was one thing XIII was better at doing than the past FFs, except FFXI. )

            Does Square-Enix really think we're going to fall for the X-2 trick again? Really?

            I don't know about anyone else, but I spent 90% of my time in FFXIII hoping and praying for all the characters to die grisly deaths, I disliked them so much, aside from Fang, and to a lesser extent Lightning and Sazh, who were at least bearable. The other three (Snow, Hope, and especially Vanille) I found completely insufferable.

            Go back to working on Vs. XIII Nomura. If it takes any longer it's going to be Duke Nukem Forever.

                  It didn't happen for FFXII, and for good reason - most everyone hated the characters (aside from perhaps Balthier and Fran) and weren't especially interested in seeing what else happened to them. FFXIII's crew is even more unlikable than FFXII's milquetoast band of misfits, so yes, I'm surprised that they think consumers will fall for this stupid shtick again.

                  Not that this has stopped S-E from doing tremendously stupid things to hurt their brand and company image (see: FFXIV) but you'd think that the fallout from FFXIV's disastrous launch and FFXIII's incredibly lukewarm public reception would have clued them in that doing Bad Things that piss off your devoted fanbase isn't good for the long-term prospects of your company.

                        It didn't happen for FFXII, and for good reason - most everyone hated the characters (aside from perhaps Balthier and Fran) and weren't especially interested in seeing what else happened to them.                         I found nothing wrong with Ashe and Basch. It was mostly Vaan and by extension Penelo.

                            Wasn't it originally called Final Fantasy because it was going to be the last game before the company went bankrupt, only it turned out to be a big hit?

                              Nope that's the story.

                              Sakaguchi wanted to make a story fantasy game and it was to be Square's swan song, so he called it Final Fantasy.
