      Dissidia blows.

      Go play Virtual On instead.
Burning questions are burning: Is jenova_9 really a girl and is she cute? Does she talk like that in real life?

        VO blows.

Go play Zone of the Enders.

Thing is, in my case, I just don't like mech games. Does nothing for me.

I've played Dissidia. I've played Virtual On. I've played Zone of the Enders. None of them blow.

I preferred VO on the Dreamcast, actually, but really only played it with friends because they cared about mechs and shit. I'm mostly being facetious here.

Except for what I said about Tekken, DOA and Bloody Roar

You sir, have 5 seconds to start running. (And I love VO for the record)

REALLY? I thought it was way better at the arcades with the twin sticks.

They made VO sticks for the Dreamcast. They were epic.

I can't really enjoy Virtual On without the sticks.

If I may be so blunt here for just a moment, I simply do not want another Super Smash Bros. similar to Melee, and I'm fully aware that I am not one-of-a-kind in this opinion, either. I agree with Sakurai: for the kind of game Smash Bros. is supposed to be, Melee was just plain too difficult. (Even on the hardcore level, I remember reading about how it was simply humanly impossible to use Fox to his fullest potential. That's kinda dumb, and you know it.)

Mind, there are indeed several glaring imperfections with Brawl, yes. In spite of this, I simply have more fun with it than I do with Melee. If a mythical fourth Super Smash Bros. entry does rear its head on Nintendo's sixth home console, it shouldn't be so difficult to make it more Brawl's speed, while simply adjusting or removing all the parts that Brawl got wrong. (For starters, stages with death-walls that you can simply walk in to should be few and far-between.)

It wouldn't be so bad if Brawl had struck a decent compromise between depth and simplicity, they just ended up going even further into the opposite extreme. That's what scares me - that they'll keep making games in the same fashion as Brawl. Brawl+ is as middle-of-the-road as it gets, but I don't think Nintendo will care.

It wouldn't be difficult to engineer two different modes of play and satisfy both crowds. It would probably involve cascading move sets that introduce more advanced and technically functional moves as the difficulty increases.

I'm sure they could easily do it - the fans are already doing it the hard way, hacking into the game and forcing changes. There's already 3 sets of Brawl hacks and 4th on the way. Whether they actually want to do that is another thing entirely. I think they're more likely to default to "we want a game that's accessible to everyone and don't want to create a rift in the player base" even though the rift is already there.

After trying my hand a competitive Smash (I used Samus in Melee and Zelda in Brawl), I still firmly believe this shit should stay in "party game" status.

But I'm a stubborn old man with fighting game roots. Also, Samus blows ass. Zelda was actually awesome in Brawl, especially with the superball turned on. OHKO all day from full screen.

VOOT should only be played on twin sticks. Wish they made twinsticks for Xbox360. I'm a faggy Fei Yen player rofl.

Snake & Sonic, while both awesome, were just way too hard to control. Sonic because of his speed (and the crap controls) and Snake because, well, WTF @ his move set.

Snake doesn't have control issues because you can spam forward/up tilt and win.

Skip to 0:40. Or not. All of Snake's hitboxes are retarded.

Sonic has momentum issues (loses all speed as soon as he starts a grab or goes airborne.) So do Fox and Captain Falcon.
