More or less, its a Mega Man knock-off, its gimmick being two player co-op with a team attack and side-scrolling shooter stages. Same shallow plot and devices as Megaman - two inherently good cyborgs out to save the world from a mad scientist.
Games in this series were developed Masaya and Winds Co. LTD and were published by Hudson for the Turbografix 16 and SNES.
In the west one installment of the series was released under the name "Shockman" which by now probably could have been the name of a Megaman robot master were Hudson not able to sue Capcom over it. To this day, however, Elecman and Sparkman are far more well-known than Shockman is.
