wait a minute, mew, didn't Tomb Raider already have an origins game? Well I dunno, those games were too hard for me to figure out, so I only played mostly demos of them (and completed the first game with cheats.

New Tomb Raider Unveiled - Xbox 360 News at IGN
Promising to tell the story of Lara's very first adventure, Tomb Raider takes the heroine and strands her on a beach where she is 'on her own but not alone', with the emphasis said to be on survival."
"Forget everything you knew about Tomb Raider," said developer Crystal Dynamic's Studio Head Darrell Gallagher. "This is an origins story that creates Lara Croft and takes her on a character defining journey like no other."
Hmm I wonder if she'll still have her trademark climbing abilities and stuff. I don't think it will be automatic jumps like FFX-2 (that would make the game feel flat and too easy.) It's very puzzling how this will turn out, but I think it will play closer to its roots than the Guardian game, which I felt wasn't really the direction Tomb Raider should go.
but if Square Enix is involved I would guess "leveling up and experience points" will be thrown in there?
I was confused but then I remember SE bought Eidos.
They mention beach, so I am guessing Lara is stranded on a island that has no civilizations living there. Well maybe cannibals.
