I'm sorry but if someone is having to replace their system THAT often, its not the system, its the user. Let's not forget that with ANY electronic there are things that can reduce the life of the product.

No it's not him. Sometimes you really just do get a faulty product. Granted they're extremely rare cases but his is not the 1st case of repeated 360 failures.

Several times a month...um...no....just no. I won't believe it unless I live at his house for a month and see it myself. It's him, he needs to take better care of his shit OR he's handing you a line and you are falling for it.

If it was a bad batch then there are very good chances of multiple replacements failing in a row.

We get those rarely (but often enough) when someone screws up in production and then they (the manufacturers) try to replace, say, defective compressors with another of the same batch. So after the 2nd failure you are pretty much guaranteed to have a bad batch and companies are on the lookout for those by default.

But I seriously doubt the manager of a gaming store would take the time to do the same, so he/she could just keep handing over units from the same defective batch.

Am I the only one who has had their 360 bricked by firmware updates? I've lost two that way and a third to the RROD because Microsoft are still using shitty ineffective heatsinks in their new 360s.

It's a pain really because once one's bricked you can't even use the hard drive for another 360.
