I'm developing a pet hatred for the mechanics of some of the heroics fights right now. That stupid dragon in Vortex Pinnacle with the fucking tornadoes can die in a fire. Well, he does, but the people who designed that fight should, too. My computer isn't that good. I can't see what the fuck is going on and I do the best I can to gtfo the way but it's not exactly easy and I end up getting caught up in them more often than not. Thankfully, it's not just me. Many of my guildies are also finding this to be a huge pain in the ass to get past.
Some douche in a PUG said "If you keep your graphics on ultra you can see what way the wind is blowing." Yeah, cause everyone's got that kind of computer.
Heroics this time around are turning out to be an exercise in frustration. Been running them with the guild (and thank god, because PUGs are even worse) but holy shit. I'm not even going to try to PUG heroics, normals only. Been DPSing, fuck heals. HPriest heals are shit right now. I seem to do all right, no one's complained or kicked me so that must count for something.
So tonight is my guild's first raid run, going into Blackwing Descent. We played around with 7 people Friday night when we had a raiders vent meeting, and while we didn't manage to accomplish shit but one kill, we had fun. It's going to be interesting tonight, providing we have the heals, we should manage to do all right. I've been reading up on the fights, and will watch the vids when I get home.
To be honest, I didn't think I'd be going with the first raid group, because I'm fairly casual - only play a few hours in the evenings and it took me a lot longer than most to get to 85 - but somehow, I'm one of the better geared 85s we have right now.
I'll let you guys know how this goes. Lol. At any rate, I'm in it to have fun, and we have no hopes of actually destroying the whole raid tonight, so it should be just fine.
After the initial hype, I haven't logged in for at least 2 weeks. I'm still 83 and just too lazy to do anything. Quests in the new zones are all the same once you get out of Vashj (sp). Kill X, get X.
I'm still subscribed, but I'm not sure for how much longer. Rift and DCUO are right on the horizon, as is Marvel 3.
Burning questions are burning: Is jenova_9 really a girl and is she cute? Does she talk like that in real life?
So yeah we didn't raid tonight ... people who said they were gonna be on did not get on, so we fucked around in Stormwind and Ironforge (yeah, we're Horde) for a while (did Stockade ftw, lol) and then ran a H:Deadmines. Got some gearz, even a few things for offspec. Finished one of my Cata reps as well.
But yeah, heroics take way too long now. It's nearly 1 AM and after starting a heroic around 10:00 we should have been done early enough for me to go to bed by midnight, easily.

My sub runs out on Friday but I uninstalled this morning. Boring expansion is boring.
Went out and bought a PS3 and a 40" tv so I'm still getting my gaming fix but without the online idiocy from an MMO for the first time in nearly ten years.
