Re: Cataclysm
Yeah Rogues suck at 1v1 at 85 really and pretty much rely on their target to panic like that . If a realise that someone is a panickier I WILL make their life hell
I would also consider when and when not to keep your Shadow Form on. You can't heal in that stance and smart Rogues will take advantage of that.
And yeah the reason why they always sap you is to wait for buffs like PW:S to vanish. It also stops you from running away or even better, makes you panic and use your Trinket.
Positioning helps too. Co ordinate with any Shaman, Warlocks, Magi and Hunters as all of them have great anti-stealth abilities. If you see a Hunter's pet suddenly turn to face behind you, a Hunter's Frost trap go off, a Mage suddenly Frost Nova or use Frost Armour or a Warlock Death Coil or send his Felguard crazy or hear a Shaman's damage totem go off, there's a Rogue about. Rogues are also less likely to attack you if you are with friends. Would you run into a 3v1 fight? Would you expect a Rogue either?
Honestly it's mostly practise. A good anything should always beat a Rogue 1v1. What Rogues do have is time and the ability to enter the fight when they can. We are most lethal when the battle has started and everyone is distracted. If you let yourself get too distracted with the fight going on in front of you, it's hardly surprising that a Rogue will pop up to say hi :3 . Being a Cloth wearer with tunnel vision is basically inviting a Rogue or Kitty to gank you.
