Ya FFV really is exciting and fun and very amazing in many ways! Also has one of the best stories, and most inspiring fantasy worlds, and great characters too! The humor also brought forth many original and classic moments, mew!
The music is very very amazing too! Ya It feels great playing through FFV at least twice!

Best story? where have you been -.- FFIV and FFVI story are better then V's but I will give V the star for it's battle system and job system

Well that is debatable. FFIV and FFVI involved more characters, but their extra dose of drama and protagonists doesn't make FFV's story any less significant. And ya, I said it has one of the best stories, I didn't say it was #1.

FFV would be my favourite out of the main series by a long margin. it's easily the FF game Ive enjoyed the most and still regularly replay it.

Well that is debatable.

No it's not. 5 was subpar compared to 4 and 6. 5's job system (GBA version) was awesome though and remains my favorite because of Mystic Knight

um....Mystic Knight was in the original too.

4 and 6 were less fantasy than 5. 5 really was one of the purest fantasy worlds and adventures and fun characters!
6 was more steampunk and 4, while mainly fantasy, was a little too advanced in some cases. Also its main villain came out of nowhere, and wasn't as memorable or significant like Exdeath was in FF5.

Personally I enjoyed the SNES era FF games the most and I would rank all 3 in my top 5 favourite which goes something like this:

1) FFV
2) FFX
3) FFIX
4) FFIV
5) FFVI

Still not sure where XIV falls since I love it but the game's not really complete.

If we go for games I would say are the "best":

1) FFX
2) FFXII
3) FFVII
4) FFIV
5) FFXI

Rated less on fun factor and my personal opinion and more on how good the game is overall

My personal favorites are 11 > 7 > > 6 > 4 > 9

Now when I say 11 and 7 I'm including them in their entirety, which means the expansions + add-ons for 11, and things like Crisis Core & Dirge of Cerberus/Advent Children for 7 since they all expand on the story and world. 6 & 4 are self explanatory as I feel they had the best cast and plots of the offline games and I have to put 9 on the list because of what it is - a tribute to the series up to that point loaded with nostalgia and FF references. The game itself was pretty fun too, even if the plot was a little weak (it's hard to decide between 8 and 9 for me for that last favorite slot but I gotta go with 9)

1) 7, was my first, and turned me on to the series in a way that has made me, a 30 year old grown ass man who's killed people and blown stuff up for a living, get excited over a god damn plush chocobo white mage.

2) 11, my past time, I love this game, even when i played it too much, and should have been mowing the grass/doing laundry/hanging with friends, It will always be amazing to me. one of my personal fantasies would be winning enough money in a lottery so that I could buy the final fantasy franchise/or enough stock in SE that I could be a voice of reason when they get their collective heads up each others asses. (hello updated graphics, plenty of room for expansion etc....)

3) 1, To see where things started and to know how they would end up years later is amazing. From seeing folks play through as 4 rdm's and just rape, to seeing a balanced party even back then was just amazing to me.

4) 12, This was very different from the previous FF's, and really opened my eyes as to why i personally felt such a deep connection to the entire series. It was different, as every one before it had been. Final Fantasy has always inovated and done things just a bit different each time. The story was good with lot's of replay value to finish some of the hunts.

5) WARNING INCOMING CONTROVERSIAL TIE::::>>>>> 10 and/or Tactics, Yeah 10's story was great, it felt like a steady climb, and i'll always wonder whatever became of our hero, so if were just ranking number FF's, then 10 get's my 5th spot. HOWEVER, tied (if not actually tied with number 4 on my list) is Final Fantasy Tactics. I grew up playing shining force 1 and 2 religously, I can remember having beaten shining force 1, and me and my best friend growing up (still one of my best friends) attempting to speed run it (we were young and it took us a weekend) through over the course of 2 days one summer. so when I discovered Tactics I knew fell in love, and it helped keep me sane during my 07 tour in iraq ^^
