that's the thing with the death penalty. It's a perfect solution in an imperfect system; if you lock someone up for awhile, at least they can have their life back somewhat after that. If you kill them, they're dead. Period.

What I think (in a very summarized way) is that every country has the government it deserves. And only a country where the institutions were completely honest would be able to implement the death penalty as it should.

But then, if the institutions were that honest it would probably mean the population is pretty honest to begin with, since everything comes from the people... So in that setting there probably woudn't be much need to implement the death penalty in the first place.


That's why I think that particular punishment should be saved for Dictatorships and other governments like that were innocence doesn't really matter. And using forced labor instead in countries where death penalty just isn't practical to implement. So inmates at least paid for their expenses instead of the taxpayers.

Or something like that. Like I said, very simplified version of it.

If you can't deal with a baby crying, why the fuck become a parent? Life seems to change for everyone I know after they have kids, not one couple I've known has been an exception. If all you were worried about in live were things getting in the way of your Farmville, at least put the kid up for adoption before you destroy your own life.

He specified stupid. It's never been an issue of age, but rather maturity, and there are tons of folks who don't have the maturity that young and won't have it even when they're well into their 40s and beyond.

Simply put: some people aren't cut out to be parents.
