  • NBA Jam Returns, has Beasties, politicians

Its out for Wii today, but there's some DLC version coming for PS3 and 360 in the next month or so. So if you want to still be a shut-in and not play a party game as it was meant to be played, there's those for ya.

    And now, teh news.

Obama, Palin, the Beastie Boys, and more in NBA Jam- Destructoid

The NBA Jam tradtion of unlockable characters begins anew with this year's return of the franchise.

Yes, I can see the trash talk now:

Beastie Boys known to let the heat..........drop.

Palin can see Russia from the three point line, don'tchaknow!

Obama doesn't take time-outs, he takes vacations.

    etc, etc.

    BOOMSHAKALAKA

I might actually pick this up, as this is the perfect party game and one of the few sports franchises I've really enjoyed. Plus EA went and screwed up NBA Street real good, so this is the best option for arcade-style street basketball now.

Do I get a pass for buying this for PS3 if I do not own a Wii?

I guess, but its still better played with non-online people.

I don't think the DLC version is the full game, but some side aspect of the Wii version. EA lost their balls late in the game since NBA Elite 2011 got delayed and pushed the dev team to put out part of NBA Jam on PS3 and 360 to compensate.

I don't see how that compensates for NBA Elite 2011, but whatever.

DLC =\= full game sucks. How much is the Wii..?

I've asked this elsewhere, but don't think I got a yes or no answer. Anyone know if it is possible to use the same netflix account on two different consoles at the same time?

Yes, you can use Netflix on multiple avenues at the same time. We do it here at home. My hubby and I will be streaming Netflix on my PS3 and my son will be streaming on his PC. I also have the Wii disc but it looks like ass on that. I prefer using my 360 but hubby has too many issues trying to load Netflix on it....he's not too handy. lol

              $50 for the Wii version.

Lots of unlockables, steady 60 FPS, if the developer is to be believed. Its more likely I'll get this as a Christmas gift to my sister and her boyfriend rather than buy it for myself since we have Wii family night at thier place and not mine. Buying it just for me doesn't seem to make much sense.

Buying Kirby, Goldeneye and Donkey Kong just for me, however, does.

In Toys R Us's ad for this week, if you buy NBA 2K11 or NBA Elite (elite is delayed now though lol), you get a free download of NBA Jam when it comes out. I think I read on Kotaku though that the DLC version doesn't have as much in it as the wii version does, but they were trying to make it as close as possible.

                      Capsule, as in from Japan?

                      *listens*

...Yep. Also, fucking Sugarless Girl; it's not terrible, but I liked the lighter sound they had before.

Related, apparently Perfume (an act organized by the same producer or something like that) goes to my school. I heard that a couple years ago some international students took them out to karaoke without knowing who they were. Boy that must've been interesting.
