You might not remember her, but Shantae is a half-genie that battles evil with her hair and also by transforming into animals.
This was a Game Boy Color game, developed by WayForward and published by Capcom.
Now, she's back and WayForward is releasing her next full game on DSiWare. its was going to be an episoidic game, but they opted to release it as one whole game. Tradeoff its its a bit steeper in price than the usual DSiWare game. 1200 points. Twelve bucks.
Anyway. Anything by WayForward is a must-have in my mind. They make great 2D platformers. They just released Batman: The Brave and the Bold for the Wii and DS and its been the second Batman game next to Arkham Asylum to do well with reviewers. They also handled last year's A Boy and His Blob for the Wii and Mighty Flip Champs on DSiWare.
Worth keeping an eye out for. It comes out October 4th.
