If you are losing to pussies that can't aim, I think that's a personal problem.

It's very hard to miss with a spread weapon like the Spas-12 or any of the automatic shotguns, especially when you're hiding around a corner waiting for people. That was my point, you just can't stop to check every little corner in MW2 or you will get shot by somebody else spotting you.

There's nothing tactical about hiding like a little bitch hoping for people to come by, and of course most people are too stupid to just ignore or go around said camper so they keep feeding the guy more kills until the streaks start coming down. I don't play MW2 anymore period, because it's a scrub's game. It's not just the cheap tactics, it's all the glitchers and hackers too - IW made that game too easy to crack. At least with Black Ops' theater mode, you can send in videos and they can actually confirm cheaters.

There's nothing wrong with camping. Once all the spots are established it's not that difficult to make rounds and clear them out.

Mal, you come off sounding like any tactic people use where you lose is a dirty, dirty cheat. Like some kid in an internet cafe playing Counterstrike or Starcraft. Anything that makes you lose is just unfair.

I just hate spawncampers and glitch exploiters, but some guy that just camps a room and picks you off as you go by? Sorry, but I expect that sort of thing from people because its the sort of thing I'd do. I am just the sort of person that would lure you into a hall and drop a grenade just as I turn a corner that keeps me safe. Some of us, in a game context, just have no reason to be all knightly about an online deathmatch or RvB play.

If you don't like a certain game type, well, that's why other game types exist. I'm really not a deathmatch sort of person if a game has CTF. I will not glitch or spawn camp to win, but you can indeed expect me to fight dirty otherwise.

It's not against the rules, it's just cheap & dirty.

Have you ever been in a lobby where the entire other team does nothing but camp? It's beyond fucking annoying, particularly when they're all spamming grenades and sniper rounds. Yeah, it makes for a real fucking fun time dieing every time you get anywhere near them. I'm not retarded either, generally when this sorta thing goes on I switch to my ghost class to try to flank 'em and get them out of there, but usually when the whole team is camping like that they have their side of the map on lockdown.

And the major reason people do it in MW2 is because of the streaks. Most games I ran a pretty good K/D with mostly gun kills on top of that, so gtfo with your pussy ass hiding around corners. It's why I like Halo & Bad Company better - Halo you have options if someone gets the drop on you (usually anyway) and in BC you can just blow their cover up XD


I enjoy CoD's mechanics though, which is why I'm giving Black Ops a fair shot. I like the perks, guns, fast gameplay etc I just hate the griefers and glitchers but it looks like Treyarc has a much better sense of game balance than IW ever had.

CoD was built to be a deathmatch, so it's fast and not always fair.

The thing about camping is that it doesn't work if nobody comes your way. In that situation you're just sitting there until you get bored enough to move, at which point you're in the open like any other player. If your teammates wont hold off on areas where there are campers you can let them bait the campers out.

I'm a camper, so I know there are drawbacks. A deft camper can pick kills like they're apples on a tree, but they can't watch every direction at once.

All too true. However it's amazing how stupid some people can be, feeding someone kill after kill trying to get revenge. Then you get the random jackass who just happens to be hiding in the weirdest, most unlikely spot. I've had a lot of killstreaks abruptly ended because of this (random asshat standing out mostly in the open except to the one angle of I just happen to be coming from @-@)

And that just drives me up the wall. I could be doing really well otherwise, but some little shit with almost no score throws a wrench into it all. The only time I really camp is when I've got a sniper (and snipers reserve the right to camp lol as that's the whole point of having a long range rifle) or the enemy team is just being douchey. It's way more fun to run around with an SMG mauling people, and I don't necessarily mean charging in like some dumb ass Rambo wannabe as that will (rightly) get you killed by anyone competent. I mean using cover & flanking, catching people unawares and the odd dropshot here or there. However I will concede that dropshotting people is also somewhat cheap and really quite stupid too; Who the hell just lets their body drop to the ground and go prone while using a gun? Wouldn't you just lose all control of it due to a lack of stability?
