It's really put a crimp in my handheld gaming......and I tried holding the system up higher but damn that hurts the arms after a while! I do find that I can contort myself in bed and be able to play for a longer period but again eventually something cramps or starts to hurt and then I give up. My backlog is only getting bigger at this rate. lol I seriously considered having my spine fused so that HOPEFULLY the headaches would go away and I'd be able to play my games.
I haven't had problems with neck or eye strain since the Game Boy Advance SP. I can see the games on DS and PSP just fine before and after I went back to prescription glasses. Probably helps that I play at a table or laying on a bed rather than sitting up on a couch or chair - because that's where you get the neck strain. No support from elbows or the back and you're setting yourself up for a little pain.

Ever since Dell, I've fallen into the habit of playing in bed because I would come home exhausted, but wanted to squeeze in some Devil Survivor or another game. DS and GBA work out fine in bed, but for some reason, when its PSP when I eventually nod off, my right hand lets it go and the PSP hits my face.

HAHAHAHA I had that happen once! The damn thing fell in such a way that it hit the bridge of my nose just right and left a nice black bruise. When my mom saw it there was NO WAY IN HELL I was going to tell her how I actually got it...she hates my gaming! (But I have to admit with my bad health I bruise quite easily and badly. You should see my knee from playing Cooking Mama on my iPad. Damn eggs that you have to crack...I tap the iPad on my knee but even the taps leave bruises. lol Ah what you do for gaming!)

I just cramped my arm to hear all Snake's codec conversations in Super Smash Brother's Brawl. You have to strike down on the D-pad in split-second to ever get that codec to activate. I don't know how I'm still able to do that insane woodpecker button mashing twitch I did in the arcade days, but it still works.

Only game that really messes with me physically are those Tony Hawk games, which I swore off years ago.
