I'll probably be picking this up soon. Watched a few videos and liked what I saw. Enjoyed the look of the game and the Action-RPGesc gameplay.

Its pretty pathetic that Sony never even tried to make it cross-platform, but I guess it makes it all the more easier to back out of supporting the PS3 version if things don't work out.

Though they do still seem to support EQOA's servers, last I checked. That's interesting considering it never got far beyond the a first expansion (then again, the GMs really made great events in that game and likely still do). But that's Sony's game, Warner Bros. also has a stake in DCUO.

(Side Note: Flying controls piss me off. I can only fly up but not down unless I leave flying mode and drop myself? And, yes, I'm using a controller.)

I honestly can't comment on the controls or game too much. I only logged in for about 5 minutes and screwed around until I had to go to work. However, gonna put in a heavy session now, so I'll let ya know.

Something is horribly wrong with my right joy stick controls. Not sure if it's just my controller or what's going on, but the keys won't remap. To turn the camera to the left, I have to hit up, turn it to the right I hit down, then to look up and down I use left and right. Like I said, remapping doesn't fix it... So it's a tad... Well, let's just say I had a rage moment here and there. But, yeah, otherwise the controls are fine. Takes an hour or two to get used to.

Otherwise, OMGAGGLE GAME IS AWESOME. PvP

Penance uses Sorcery with a focus in Destiny and the hand blaster weapon. She's flight, but I wish I could change her to acrobatics. lol :s I tried Ice, and it's strong, but I just couldn't get into it.

I had a lot of fun last night.

Got lvl 10 and did a ton of quests, but for every quest I did 2 or 3 more where unlocked, and since quests are my weakness I'll probably spend a lot of time just running around the city saving people.

Was online from like 8PM-ish till 3AM-ish before realizing what time it was, which is a very good sign when playing a game.

My first test character is Ice based, with Super speed and Martial arts. Ice and Martial arts are meh, but super speed is pretty good. Nothing like jumping from building to building at Flash's Super-superspeed (you wouldn't believe how much time I spent just running around, jumping from one tall building to the other and exploring the place. )

Will probably try rifle or dual katanas next, and either fire or something else for powers. Also need to focus on one type of attack at a time since there's not much point in getting too many separate powers (can only have 6 powers equiped at a time, which is more than enough but makes it very important to plan ahead when spending power/skill points.

Iconic powers are pretty nice, only got Heat vision last night but that was more than enough to boost my offensive capabilities against similar level characters.



Etc. etc. etc. I better stop now or I'll end up typing for an hour. And got to work anyway.

PS > My test character's name is Kiva in the eh... whatever the 7th server is called. Heroic something? Didn't pay much attention (test character and all)

here is an important question for me... is there a way to have your character "transform" ? It saddens me that the henshin Hero is not given any love -.- (yes I know this is a DC game but I hope no?)
