The Last Story FINALLY gets a trailer- Destructoid

Wow, this was totally not what I was expecting it to be. Its a lot more ambitious than they let on. And here I was expecting a traditional turn based RPG with huge cities.

Its an action RPG with duck and cover tactics and its really stepping up graphics on the Wii. I think Nintendo spent that print money quite well in getting Mistwalker to partner with them on this one.

Gonna go watch this trailer a few more times.

atmosphere is unlike other rpgs. seems kind of dark too. gameplay is interesting too! plus it seems like the battle party can go up to 5 members like FFIV!

One of the things that stood out to me was that guy did a context-sensitive backflip over a barrier he was backing towards, that was kinda cool. It seems there's been a lot of attention given to the environments of the game as well as variety in combat.

Btw,this is the first console game Sakaguchi has directed in a long long looooooooooooooooooooong time (he directed A.S.H for the DS). I think the last game was FF5 O.o

Looking awesome, seems like a very refreshing addition to RPGs and even more so to the Wii.

All I'm gonna say at this point is if Reggie and NOA don't get this game over here, I'm driving to Redmond to have some words... with someone. Even if its a secretary and I make him or her cry.

This and Xenoblade need to come out here. These are the sorts of RPGs we've really been missing on consoles this generation.

Can the Wii even handle those graphics?

Maybe it's just been laziness on the part of developers but very few games on the Wii have anything close to a decent art style (Twilight Princess & Prime 3 are STILL the best looking titles so far which is sad)
