  • buy Xbox360 or stay with PS3.

it's been over a year and PS3 has been behaving nicely even with hot humid temperatures and no Air Conditioner.

But I really would like to play Castlevania Harmony of Despair, and I miss Left 4 Dead (very fun) and XBLA purchases.

But I fear getting RROD ( I would then have to take it aaaall the way to the store riding two city buses to and back.
I prefer store warranty instead of mailing it to MS. -.-

At the sametime, this summer is going to be boooooring on PS3 with nothing until the ninja fun in September! (Naruto UNS2.)
and DC Universe Online in November might help the wait for FFXIV.

but if I get Xbox360, I would have to trade in PS3 and games because it's just too costly buying and owning another console.

I even considered getting Wii for SuperSSBrawl since its sooo fun and SSE is a fun adventure, but at the sametime, I know I would want to ply something else that's only on PS3 or 360.

oh mew oh mew what to do. Maybe I should just keep PS3 unless it doesn't work anymore. I already went through like
2 or 3 Xbox360s, but oh meeeew I wanna play that 6 player co-op Castlevania that's coming this month or next month.

Re: buy Xbox360 or stay with PS3.

If you have excess money that you really want to burn on video games until some more PS3 games that interest you come out, I would think that you would have the greatest value in getting a Wii. There are so many noteworthy games out there that are on both the PS3 and 360 nowadays that getting both systems seems a bit redundant. Conversely, a Wii in addition to your PS3 would grant you access to a wider library of games overall, such as Monster Hunter Tri, No More Heroes, oh, and not to mention pretty much every Nintendo first-party console game ever (including Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as you mentioned). Ever since E3 I sincerely doubt that there's going to be any shortage of games for it in the near future, either.

Regarding your Castlevania issue, I would heavily advise that you wait for the game to at least come out before trying to use it and it alone to justify the purchase of a whole console with problems that you take issue with. What I would do in your situation is, if the game comes out and I still believe it to be a worthwhile purchase, I would buy it for a friend of mine that had a 360 and enjoy the Castlevania multiplayer action I had been wanting for so long where it would be most appropriate - in the company of my friend(s).

Of course, the only potential problem with that plan is the assumption that you have friends . . . but I would at least certainly hope so, if you're getting all hyped up over a multiplayer game.

yeah I would be with Yellow on this one, you would be better off getting a Wii, I only got a PS3 because I already had a Wii and 360, so I could play the few exclusives PS3 had (Heavy Rain was awesome) but please don't base your purchase of a system of one game -.- especially one like that.

Make a list. One side games that you would love to play on the Wii and other side the 360. Then go through the lists and cross off ones that you can live without. Now compare the amount of games that you have listed for each.

And what about handhelds? Not interested in DSi or PSP? Or do you already have them?

I saw an article a while back that they are considering porting it to PS3 anyway, based on how well it sells on 360 (kind of stupid at this point given how much PS3's install base has grown)

If there isn't anything that interests you on 360, then just don't buy it. It's that simple. As far as hardware goes, the new small models (or w/e the hell they are calling it) are a lot nicer + the extended warranties on RRoD. I wouldn't worry about it much. It sucks if it happens but the odds are fairly low now.

oh thanks! I think I will stay with PS3. not much money so if I get another system I would have to trade in PS3 and stuff to make the other one more affordable, but in the long run ya, I think it's safer to stay with PS3 since most games will be multiplatform anyway.

I might get a Wii for SuperSBBrawl when it gets a price drop in a year or two. I remember when I bought a gamecube for only $30.

Don't make the reason you get something a downloadable game that might just come to PS3 and Wii at some point. Aside from a handful of games, the 360 doesn't really have anything special that you can't get on PC or PS3 already.

360 for me would probably just boil down to Lost Odyssey and that's not enough for me personally. And as far as first party content goes Sony and Nintendo have a wealth of content while MS really still just has Halo.

OMG stop being such a PS3 and Nintendo fanboy, me.
