Re: Playstation Plus
No its fan boy because anytime someone posts something involving sony BBQ gets a big chest and starts thumping it. I have had all the systems, and in fact took my XBOX in and traded it for a PS3, on the sole principle of being required to pay to enjoy the few games I liked online after already paying 60-70$ for said games.
Now I am sure at some point PSN will be 100% pay to play, just like XBL, and TBH I do not really care to much, a lot of the online games for either system are pretty lackluster and filled with 13 year old kids. But atm I get to enjoy lackluster for free, and when/if I do have to start paying to play, I will no longer play online.
I find it absurd that you are required to pay a premium to play games over the internet after buying the game, and the console, that pays for the upkeep of games you do not wish to play or do not own. It would be like SE charging 30$ a month to play FF14 online because they want to keep the FFXI servers open to people who want to play there, while at the same time increasing the cost of XI to help pay for the increase to server pops on 14.
It is a stupid way of doing business, and has been complained about since its creation. If Companies need extra revenue to support servers, than charge on a per game basis. As I said in my previous post, Ill pay for a game that I want to play, but I will not pay for a game that I do not own or do not wish to play. MS has been fleecing that way for a long time.
